Is it too early in the process to be calling the schools about your status?
Every schools I've applied to asked that I not call them at this time because they are backed up with applications. Unless you have a dire reason like getting a 12 on your DAT, is it wise to call the schools? My brother who is in dental school said that you shouldn't make calls about status until november. But it seems like a stupid idea because what if there was something wrong with your application and the schools "forgot" to tell you about it until it's too late?

I'm antsy and wanna call up a bunch of schools pretty badly but my brother keeps on telling me to stay put and wait it out a little more. I'm goin nuts!

Another advice he told me is to never put pressure on the school to accept you by letting them know you've been accepted elsewhere. He listened to another applicant and Call Temple to let them know that he's accepted at another School and almost immediately notified that he's no longer in the waiting list.

I have been emailing schools about my status. I think that emailing is better as they can answer your questions when they have time. Just be nice, and try to organize your email in a way that makes it easy for them to answer. For example, if you're asking multiple questions, number each one so that the school can just reply with: "1. yes; 2. no" or something along those lines.

What is your GPA? With a DAT score as high as yours I'd probably wonder if my application was missing something if I hadn't heard from a school yet.

I'd probably call them to verify that my application is complete, but I wouldn't ask about interviews or what kind of chance you have.

birkchik why did you withdraw from arizona?

My husband wasn't too keen on living in Arizona. That fact, coupled with their $75 secondary fee and the numerous interviews that I had already received, led me to withdrawl my app.

Hi Aggie,
I' ve checked and my application is complete. Nothing is missing. my GPA is 3.0 science and about 3.17 cum. I'm only worried about a couple of schools but I think I know what's going on with them. I'm waiting for the official rejection from both of them. I'm thinking about applying to a couple more schools.

I've been checking up on my application by E-mailing the schools, so that they can respond to me when they can. and soo far its been up to snuf at all the schools
