jeez i was planning to post this couple months ago but now i really have to post it. here's my story......

so my roommate. let's call him "bob". bob's a really awesome guy and we've been roommates since freshmen year. but lately, ever since this semester started with his damn pcats and pharmacy apps, he's been acting like a total emo. he took the pcat over the summer and got like a 90 something and yet the guy is complaining. his GPA is nearly perfect like a 3.9 from waht i could see from his transcript (Shh dont tell him!!) he doesnt have alot of xtra curriculars but hes been working in a pharmacy since sophmore yr (so like almost 3 yrs?) and he's been volunteering at a hospital since this summer (he tried convincing me to come; NOPE! lol)

anyway i just want normal bob back. emo bob is such a bummer lol. last semester he was always willing to hang out, go to bars, and go out and stuff but now he just sits in the apartment. im pretty sure this pharmacy school stuff is driving him nuts. help me convince him that his credentials are good and that he needs to stop sulking and worrying. i'll most liekly email him this link in a few days time.

btw, i found this forum by googling "pharmacy what are my chances". if i remember correctly, you guys have pretty hard questions for registering... i think mines was what is the sun composed of? for a business major like me, i had no clue hahah

Good GPA? √
Good PCAT? √
Pharmacy Experience? √

He shouldn't have a problem.

Sucks... I know some bright people with all the stats to back it up who suffer from depression bouts too. Maybe he's having girl problems??? Some of the smarties I knew weren't the smoothest with the ladies.

i pulled my hair out while studying for the pcat. too much stress.

if bob doesn't get in with those stats, then he'll have reason to be emo. until THEN, which isn't likely, he should focus on the real emo's that are picking up their zoloft RX's from him.

Is this him?

As long as he doesn't screw up an interview, your friend is a shoe-in. There's nothing to worry about...I mean, if you do a search of people who got into pharmacy school within the last several months, you'll find them with PCAT scores in the 50-60 range and/or GPA in the 2.8-3.2 range at the least - your friend is strong in both categories. However, if he has to put all this extra stress on himself, that's his problem. Good luck to Bob!

He'll probably snap out of it briefly when he finally gets accepted. The application year is a tough one.

Of course, he'll probably go back to emo when it sinks in what he's really gotten himself in to.
