1. For the process Co(NH3)5Cl2+ +Cl– → Co(NH3)4Cl2++ NH3, what would be the ratio of cis to trans isomers in the product?
I got 1:1 for this but the answer was 4:1, can someone explain how this is done?

2. Determine if the following coumpound is named correctly or incorrectly.
Ca[NiNH3Cl3] calcium amminetrichloronickelate (II).
I thought the answer was correct but the answer was listed as incorrect. Am i missing something?

Isn't the nickel +1?

Ca is +2,

so [NiNH3Cl3] is -2

we know NH3 is neutral
and Cl is -1 (x3 = -3)

so Nickel is +1
