Formic acid (HCO2H) has a Ka=1.77*10^-4
what is the molar concentrations of the H3O+ and the HCO2- inos in a 0.1M solution of formic acid?
at equalibrium H3O+=HCO2- so they both can equal X. when pluged into the Ka equation I thought the answer would have been .00421 but the book is giving me .013
it appears instead of dividing X^2 by .1M it is being divided by 1 hence = .013
