I usually have always started patients that get concurrent chemoXRT on a monday based on my training, not sure what others do, but with holidays coming up and everyone wanting to start and finish as soon as possible, wanted to see if others ever start people in the middle of the week. thanks

Monday or Tuesday preferred. Will start later in urgent scenarios but would consider Saturday treatment.

I've started mid week too. You can usually switch the chemo schedule if you want to.
Many people give Cisplatin 5x20 mg (Mo-Fr), but you can simply switch that to something like 4x25 or 2x50 and just start of Tuesday or Thursday.
My argument is: Why wait 3-4 more days, just to be able to start on Monday? The extra cells you hope to kill through optimal radiosensitivity by starting on Monday probably have grown over the weekend.
