Can anyone comment on what lifestyle is like during child neuro residency, one person says much more difficult than the five years of child psychiatry or the three years of a general peds, but I would love to hear thoughts and experiences.

Based on my experiences at a couple of institutions: Peds is much harder than psych. Adult neuro is somewhat harder than peds (or IM, which is similar to peds). At my current institution, peds neuro is slightly harder than adult neuro. The neuro rotation is known as the toughest non-ICU rotation that gen peds does. At my med school, though, peds neuro was easier than adult neuro and much more culturally relaxed. In general, though, peds neuro is not at all a chill residency, particularly when compared to psychiatry levels of relaxation.
