There's a stick figure method for finding chirality (S or R). First you draw a stick figure and then you convert that into a Fischer projection which you then number.

I was wondering if anyone has any videos or webpages on this. I found the method from an mcatforme video but it explained it briefly and I'm confused about how you figure out which of the two bands parrallel to the page are pointing upwards and which one is pointing downwards.

If no one has tips on the stick man technique then are there other good techniques for determining if the chiral carbon is R/S?
