Dear SDN,

I am at a crossroads right now.

After finishing Psychology undergrad in the US, i went to india for BDS (dental).
I am currently finishing my second year...and have 3.5-4 years remaining.

But,

I am reading about various medical programs, such as those within India like Manipal, or Caribbean colleges: SGU, AUC, Ross, Saba.

Now this topic has probably been discussed a lot, but before i make a rash decision, i wanted to know:

a) I feel like their are significantly more barriers in returning home to the States in Dentistry compared to medicine.

b) Are there any programs that i can finish up somewhere in the States?? (as in basic sciences somewhere...den clinical in the states)

c) What do you know of manipal's twinning program with AUA?

d) I reside in California so plz keep that in mind when giving advice.

Thanks. Whew. Please be kind and give me some advice because i might make it for admissions this round and save some time.

Thank you. 😕

IMHO, getting a US MD license with a foreign MD degree is much easier. Get an MD🙂.

Just out of curiosity, why did you go to India for dental degree while already living in the US? Why not apply to the US schools? If you can say, of course...
