After learning about the so-called "top" schools from their brochures, match lists, and interviews, I have realized that these schools are more similar than they are different. So, my question for those of you who are lucky enough to be choosing between two or more "top" schools (which I will arbitrarily define as top 10) is this: why did you make the choice that you did?
This is emphatically not a "where would you go between X and Y schools" thread; I'm just curious what specific things (e.g., location, research opportunities, name recognition, match lists, affiliated hospitals, good impression of incoming class, whatever) led to your decisions between schools that, on the whole, are relatively similar.
