Choosing Between Two Second Look Weekends?

Is anyone facing the issue of having to choose between two second look weekends, where the two schools are your top 2 choices? How are you going to go about making the decision?

You know there is no eureka answer to this question. Even if there is someone in a similar situation, what're they going to tell you: "uh, im going to the one that I'd rather be at eventhough I like both schools"

No one can help you with this question. You will end up deciding. I see in your future... yes... oh... yes... People will begin to flame you soon.

Go to one school's second look. For the other school, arrange a visit some other time when you can stay with a student and attend classes. Most schools are open to this.

You might actually learn more about the school by visiting at a time that is not the second look weekend.

on your interview day, which school did you feel like you got a pretty good feel for the student body? i would go to the other one...

you've probably already toured both facilities so the second look weekend really is just a chance to meet the students. if you've done it at one school already, give the other a chance.

Relax!

The question is no different than someone asking why they should choose go to school X vs Y. Given that people often cite second look weekend experiences as key decision factors, I think it's more than appropriate to get feedback on how other people are going to make the decision. The decision to attend the second look could be a proxy for ultimate matriculation choice.

What does an MBA have to do with getting other opinions? If anything, making an informed decision is better than thinking you know everything about an issue...

I think its just a weird thread started by the OP. If he said directly what do you think of the comparison b/w schools X vs. Y, that would make more sense....

I don't see the purpose of bringing the second-look weekend into it, as well as your awesome acceptances.

Maybe I read between the lines when there is nothing to read. No offense John Madden. Yo, have you seen those John Madden spoofs by that guy from mad tv. youtube that stuff, its awesome.

I think this is a legitimate question, and there's no reason to start flaming people for it.

I have a similar problem, and although they're not my top-choice schools yet, I'd still like to re-visit both of them, just in case they turn out to be frontrunners. Here are some issues to consider:

1. How easy is it for you to travel to each school on a weekend other than Second Look? All other things being equal, I'd go to the Second Look that's harder to get to. I think Towelie made a good suggestion with visiting schools outside of Second Look.
2. Related to #1, who's paying for your expenses? Some schools pay for everything, while some schools pay for nothing except maybe meals and activities. I doubt that many schools would pay for you to visit any time other than Second Look. If one school pays for significantly more at Second Look, then I'd go to that one, then (if possible) visit the other school on my own dime.
3. Do you know anyone who goes to either school? Or has been accepted to either school? Talk to them; they might be able to be your Second-Look proxy and give you a better idea of what you missed. It's not ideal, but it'll help you make a better-informed final decision.

Honestly, I think you'll be happy no matter what your decision turns out to be. Good luck!

its not jealousy, its obvious, do you really think that he doesnt know what to do and is completly lost? do you really think that the advice everyone has given him here he didnt already know? its a matter of opinion, and hes the only one who can make that decision, ill make it more clear to you all:

Im at a movie theatre, and i want to see two movies, but i can only see one which one should i see? I know i havent given you any of the movie names, but how should i decide what movie to see? I so wish i could ask someone how to solve this unbelievable problem.
