I have a question regarding what my school calls "discipline files".

So I go to a religious private university where a certain number of dorm worships are required each quarter. Apparently students get placed on attendance probation and certain dorm restrictions are placed on the student if they fail to attend the minimum amount

I have missed quite a few quarters of these worships and I got a couple letters about probation which I disregarded, as I have heard that none of this probation crap goes on a transcript that a medical school will see, and the admissions and records office has confirmed this. Recently I received a letter saying I am placed on "citizenship probation".

As I want to apply to/attend a certain religiously affiliated medical school (try to guess), I am worried this might be something they can see. Assuming it is NOT on my transcript, do you think it will somehow come up?

tl;dr: is citizenship probation going to hurt my chances for med school and can they see that I've been put on CP?

That sounds like an institutional action to me. So yes, I think you will have to report it and I think it won't look good.

Probably won't kill your app but makes you seem like you cant follow rules.

Why didn't you just go like you were supposed to?

I did for the first couple quarters, but then I stopped having time for it.

This is DEFINITELY institutional action, and you should report it. Remember that you can have your acceptance taken away as a M4 (or, even worse, mid-career), so why risk it? Admit to **** ups and move on.

If you didnt ever go to your religious meetings in the first place.....WHY do you want to go to a religious school again?

You should definitely own up to this on your application. If you don't and they later find out about it, then you'll be in massive trouble for dishonesty.

If you do own up to it on your application, and include an explanation, I think most admissions committees won't care much. They'll see that it was for some bull**** and move on.

The danger here is getting busted for dishonesty/covering up. Just say you have institutional action for not attending enough religious services. Unless you want to go to a religious medical school, that'll be the end of it.
