I don't have my tax stuff...🙁 I guess I'm going to wait for my tax stuff to come out depending on what the questions ask. All I know is there's gonna be a lot of 0s on that form.

I'm hoping this is very easy for me... all I got this year was like a token $3000 stipend for my summer research. Do those of us that are still claimed as a dependent by our parents have to give any of our family info in our FAFSA?

Yeah, my dad is concerned because he doesn't have his tax info 🙁 boo. I hate working through this stuff with him. We both get really agitated.
 
Does anyone have the right link? Do you know if we can start filling out the form on-line and then save what we have?

I feel you pianola, as I have to work with my dad to get his financial documents in order for the first time. He hasn't paid for my education yet, and I doubt he would if the FAFSA people said he had to. Good thing my mamma still only makes $0 annually 😀
 
ugh.. fafsa.. thankfully i cant worry about it for at least a month until we have our tax stuff ready..

Nice! Both my parents make $0 annually. Exciting isn't it? Like I said, there's gonna be a lot of 0s on this form. I work, but not much since I'm in school full-time.
 
I don't make much but I will file...so it'll be feb befoee I fill it out probably...

Went shopping today and got 350 dollars worth of stuff for 144. yay for after christmas sales!!
 
Hanging with my friends, eating chinese food, drinking sparkling juice (I am a teetotaler, remember?), and watching the ball drop. 2008 was an amazing year for me, and I can't speculate how 2009 will compare. I will be off until tomorrow, so happy new year to everyone!

Hahahaha! Funky! I am NOT that much of a gunner!!!!! 😀:laugh:😀 Actually I'm 0 parts gunner. I was a music major. Music majors just aren't gunners. It's not in their blood.

Finished with my FAFSA and NeedAccess portions, now all I need is financial info from my father and I can really finish that NeedAccess.

(Although I have to wait until the end of the month to truly submit it so I can submit my 1040 first)

i started with the bubbly at noon yesterday because where my grandparents live in russia there is a 12hour time difference and we want to.. in spirit... celebrate with them 🙂
and then it continued and culminated with a party my boyfriend and i went to until ~4am.. he is wayyy asleep right now lol

I fell asleep at 2pm, and woke up at 4. We went out to eat Burmese/Malaysian food, and then we went to Santa Monica Pier, and played the price gouging carnival games. It was fun. Then we came back home, and it was REALLY foggy when we entered Orange County.... the visibility was like 2 feet! But then we reached home, there was the countdown, and we just watched TV until we fell asleep... My mom said that this was the first time she had been awake for the new year to come in.

Sounds like you had a fun time! I would have liked to sleep in until now, but my classes start monday.

wow guys.. two thousand f*cking nine.. haha..
i am enjoying my last full month off for the holidays. i only need to go back to school on the 20th so i get to do nothing for 2.5 more weeks. i need to figure out how to better enjoy the present (esp my free time now) and not think too much about school starting and looking ahead to that.. i think that will be my new years resolution! 🙂
 
So on the Hopkins financial aid app, it asks for my JHU email. I don't have any JHU email, so either I am getting one soon!!! or they are just pulling my chain about starting the fin aid process on day one.
 
yeah my med school considers anytime before march to be early for fin aid. so their "day one" may be a bit different than urs. but gl getting the email addy soon!
