I bet. I wonder what type of profit they will make off repossessed and under-priced homes. Hopefully, they won't be too greedy and sell homes for prices that will lead to more foreclosures.

Hopefully not. The one businessman I know is actually doing some pretty good stuff for people(rent-to-buy deals, buying then lowering mortgages and that sort of thing). I'm sure he's going to end up making a ton of money, but at least he doesn't seem like he's going to contribute to the problem.

I went post-hunting but I couldn't find it. Which I suppose is just fine, because that was ridiculous.👎

Did any of you receive emails (personal messages) from interviews or admissions staff after being accepted? I'm not sure if I have to respond or not. I already responded to one of the emails, but I have not responded to the other because I don't know what to say.

Yes, UTSW keeps barraging us with emails from our interviewers, staff, and random students who I never even met. I never responded to them, because they always came at the time when I was busy with midterms...

I just got a lecture about how I should stop being too nice and helping people out and instead should focus on my own stuff and study and do my own work...

Everything I did used to annoy and irk my parents. Then I moved out and things changed😀.
 
So I had my callback last night for "Thoroughly Modern Millie"...

I got to do three things. Sing for a part in the ensemble, dance for the ensemble, and sing for the role of Jimmy (my dream role!)

So singing for the ensemble part was interesting. There's a male quartet in the show and of course I had to sing the tenor part, but it was HIGH (for you musicians out there, a B natural above middle C 😱). I think I did pretty well. The dancing was bad, though... it was the same dance we had done before but the director added a new little bit at the end, which I could NOT get right for the life of me. Singing for the role of Jimmy was also not that great either, although I was one of only six guys called back for the role. 😀 I don't know what happened because I have sung Jimmy's songs like a million times before so I'm a little disappointed with myself. I'm pretty sure this one guy (who always gets like EVERY part in Richmond) is going to be cast as Jimmy...

I was supposed to read for the part of Jimmy as well, but they ran out of time and sent most of us home.

It doesn't help that most of the selection was sung on scat syllables. :laugh: We all got the music (there were 10 of us although 5 of us were assigned to the tenor part, the other 5 got the baritone part) and were just like 😱 :wtf:.

I guess they're looking for tenors with a strong falsetto.

The Jimmy song we had to sing had an A flat above middle C in full voice (belting). What fun! 😀

what's OWC. i finished my midterm. it was okay, harder than i had expected. so i am taking my last undergrad midterm tomorrow, tear. oh and lunch for me is pot stickers, i made em 😀
