If I'm mentioning my scholarship to another school (that I want to match the scholarship) should I give the exact amount?

Let us know how it goes. My mom had breast cancer last spring, and it was the surgery that was the problem.

It sounds worse than a T1, let's hope for no nodal involvement.

I would give them a percentage.

As in, this school X is giving me a scholarship equal to 50% of tuition.

It's the same as giving the amount but seems a little less jarring.

Plus, any financial aid office could quickly convert that to a dollar amount based on tuition of the other school (which is widely known information)

I would give it the way they framed it to you. So if they say half-tuition, write half-tuition. If they say 30k per year, write 30k per year. You're already asking for them to match so all pretense of modesty pretty much is already out the window. 😉

I just put down exactly what it said in the letter.

I'm sure the two schools are extremely well acquainted with each other. 😉
 
I wonder if my admission to med school and/or scholarship is in jeopardy if I get a C in that class.

I have never gotten a C yet...I don't particularly wish to get one. 🙁
 
do they take debt into account when they are calculating EFC?

For FAFSA? I don't remember them asking about debt. For NeedAccess? I'm assuming yes otherwise they wouldn't ask, but I doubt they subtract your debt from your EFC, I think they just "take it into account."

Eh, I won't be doing much... but the extra sleep will be nice.

In other news, coworker's dad is out of surgery and doing well. They haven't met with the surgeon yet regarding the findings.

*sigh* I'm strangely apathetic about both studying AND posting today... I just took an hour long nap that was supposed to be 30 minutes (hit the snooze 5 times). The apathetic about studying is probably not good... what with the biochem exam on Thursday that I haven't done half the reading for, yet alone started "reviewing"... hmmm...

In my defense, I was running my experiments and doing other lab stuff... plus I ate breakfast at 9:30, so lunch after 5 hours is not bad... normally I eat breakfast at 8 and lunch at 12 or 1...
 
If I get a 4.0 this and next quarter, I will have a GPA of 3.871... 3.872 is Summa. FML.

LOL, I couldn't even tell you what cum/magna/summa are at my school; I decided I didn't give a crap about that when I got my acceptance 😀 I'm just worried about getting a C in Advanced Biochem so I can graduate... and with a test on Thursday that I'm 2 weeks behind in the reading on... I should probably get started.:scared:
 
Yah it is too late so I just added myself to a waitlist for a class which I may be interested in... and I can decide to drop it in case it is hard or if I do poorly this quarter...

Finals end April 22nd for me, I think. I figure classes must end at least a week before that.

So Jealous... My last final is June 11th, and I graduate June 12th... for the whole school and June 13th for the MicroBio Department Graduation...

I'll still be around. My spring break is not until April and the fact that everyone here has already had their break is just a reminder that my next vacation is past overdue. Then again, the wait will make my break much sweeter.

I hope everyone enjoys their break.

But I did start school on September 25th, so it evens out... and I am jealous about the no A-s... although I have more B+s than I do A-s... uggh... too many B+s...
