In other news, there are three HILARIOUS YouTube clips floating around with a little kid. Youtube "He was injured" or Trigon Blue Cross and you should be able to find them. :laugh:

AGREED. Hush, Lee... When you've hit 21 days like me and LET, then it will be a dry spell 😛

Just kidding... here's hoping for Friday, it seems like Fridays are always busy interview days.
 
Sorry, I've topped all of your dry spells. Try August 6th (my first) to September 17th (my second) and starting on my second dry spell lol. Atleast many of you are sitting on like 4+ interviews. But lets not forget those that don't even have interviews yet. We should feel blessed that we have these interviews so early.🙂

Yeah. I am really really happy with everything! Except my lack of a UC interview.

Thanks for the reminder droshan. We are lucky.. I wasn't expecting to get this many interviews in the whole season, none the less by now, and at many of my top choice schools. I'm so thankful.

Hey everyone! Hope things are going well... I finally made it back to Richmond after my Vermont interview on Tuesday and things have been so crazy I haven't had a chance to come back on and report about it.

I think the interview went pretty well - the interviewer only asked me a few questions and none of them were difficult. It was very conversational and he seemed to like me a lot. At the end of the interview he said that he thinks I'm competitive for the school and he hopes that my interest in attending there continues. I'm probably going to get waitlisted anyway, but at least his parting words were positive.

My visit was pretty awesome. UVM is an incredible school - the facilities are amazing and Burlington is the perfect place for med school. There's enough going on where you won't get too bored but it's so laid back and relaxed that it won't cause any stress. The students there seemed really happy pretty close as a group. All of the faculty that we met were very respectful and friendly and really made us feel welcome. The admissions staff really went out of their way to make sure we were all relaxed and had an enjoyable day at the school.

My only concerns are that the OOS tuition is very expensive and Burlington does not provide the most divers patient population. Even still, though, I would love the chance to attend UVM and would be honored to continue my education there.

Now it's time to start thinking about VCU on Tuesday and UMD on Wednesday (super excited -- they're two of my top choices!)

BTW, it's been 41 days since my last interview invite. It was 8/15 and my second. I'm not worried too much though because the two I heard from were my top two.

Exactly because yo boy over here is sittong on 0! But I have faith that my time will come so I am not worried. Make sure you guys are grateful about the interviews that you guys have gotten. Please don't turn into an ungrateful troll like some of the people on here. You guys are too good for that! Love yall and God bless!

i check my email like every five minutes... even after business hours and on weekends! i know it's silly, but i can't help it! and if i'm not by a computer? no problem... i use my cell phone... ughh, i really need to find something to keep me busy lol 😛

Man, if my phone got e-mail, that would make this so much worse. As it stands, I just leave my e-mail open in a tab and refresh it manually every 10 minutes or so. That's bad enough.

As too am I. But I have been getting better especially because I have been getting the same spam emails! :laugh: I get excited when I see I have 6 new emails and then when I look, they are all duds! 😛

lol, dude, me too! I keep my Gmail open in a separate tab, and when the (1) appears, I get a little rush. I'm glad I'm not the only obsessive email checker in this forum...it sounds like lots of people have the same problem. 🙂

Where can you get it? Having something to automatically alert me about new emails would DEFINITELY improve the quality of my life right now, haha.
 
You guys are all weird with this CHECKING EMAIL thing. I have push email. Whenever I get a gmail, I get a notice on my work computer, it's downloaded onto my home email, AND I get it on my phone 😱

Berk, why are YOU on a hold? I think that is not fair. That really bites, because SD is known for its holds meaning rejection... I think you should sent a LOI soon...IMHO....

Haha no I don't get it as a text. I have a cell that gets internet, so when I'm neither at work nor at home I just get it to check my email every couple of minutes and beep when I get one. I'm basically like one of those crazy businesspeople who are attached at the hip to their electronics....minus the cool job and the money.

As for UCSD, are you kidding?! What the hell are they thinking?? California schools are crazy! Hey, maybe it'll be fun to live somewhere totally different for a few years 👍

So chin up! You have some amazing interviews coming up, focus on those 😀

I got put on hold at UCSD too. I'm OOS, so I pretty much expected it, but yeah. 🙂 Don't let it bother you too much--you already have plenty of awesome interviews!
