There are too many blue faces in that post! I should see more of 🙂 and 😀. As youve already stated, youve got 5 great schools to choose from already, and the cycle is barely half over!!!

And as far as genetics, its not like you need to get an A! Now you can live by the standard "Cs get degrees!" 😀

i am supposed to be writing a paper for my science fiction lit class, but im pass/failing the class and its due wed.. ill try to start tomorrow lol

Don't worry about it. I am gonna start my art history final paper on Tuesday after my final (Read Wednesday) and it is due on Thursday...

The cheap shot was a good one🙄
 
Soooo I'm sending out a letter of intent to my top choice on Monday I have decided. I know they don't mean much, but if I don't I feel like I won't have done everything absolutely possible to get into this school. I just wrote it and am having my proofreading team of my PI, my grad student mentor, and my mom look it over, ha.

Cuz I know I CAN do well if I work hard. I have a 4.0 in my grad program. I didn't really get the same sort of feeling as an undergrad (i.e. I felt that no matter how hard I worked, I'd still get that same old A-). I really like feeling successful, I guess. And I feel like my efforts here have paid off.

Congrats to all these new acceptances going out (ryserr! yay!) and on the Howard interview, BD2B.

Also congrats on the UCLA interview, funky 🙂

Wow it's been awhile since I posted on our class thread. Hope everyone is doing well in the last weeks of the semester and had a great Thanksgiving holiday.

I just finished with my last interview yesterday - yay 😀

I also heard back from Vandy a couple weeks ago and will very likely be heading there in the Fall.

I believe the adcom meets on tues and thurs and they send out acceptances on the 15th of every month. I interview on wed the 10th, so I am hoping and praying that I can sneak in the dec 15th batch. It is unlikely but I can always pray on it!

Aloha BD2B! I did not realize that UCLA/CDU had been sending out acceptances already... Do you know how many people have been accepted so far?

Wassup FunkDoc! That last message was for Howard. CDU/UCLA told us that they were going to let us know the 4th week of December, which is this week!!!! 😱😱😱

hope everyone had a great day! My brother in law was ordained today and took a position as youth pastor at a new church so I spent the day with them and went to see their new house. It was great!

I have a headache from hell but just took some drugs so hopefully it'll get bettwr shortly.
 
:scared::scared::scared::scared::scared:Waiting for responses is the worst. Of the 15 schools I sent secondaries to, I've only heard from 5, 2 interviews and 3 rejections. I know I applied late, BIGGEST Mistake.

when did you apply? i know it sucks, but there is nothing to do. try to concentrate on other stuff

and congrats to blackdr2b and any other new interviewees/acceptances. everyone here seems to be rocking the app process! 😀

It actually took me a while to realize that it was all the people on the West Coast that were up posting at 3:30 in the morning (really only 12:30 PT). I wondered when all you guys slept!
 
First final today at one oclock! Woo Whoo! African American Religious Traditions - its an awesome class and shouldnt be that bad of a final. I just hate writing long in class essays by hand. Ugh.

Good luck with that. I always hated long, hand-written essays. Makes me glad the MCAT went computerized before I took it.

I want to congratulate everyone who has been accepted and will be accepted, your hard work and determination is motivation for me to hold on!!

To answer your question, I had my application in Aug 18 and secondaries requested sept-oct and last secondary submitted oct 13. My interviews are jan 16 (morehouse) and feb 4 (drexel) and im still waiting to hear from about 10 schools. I updated my mdapplicants profile (#16491) w specific dates.

Wish me luck, pray, meditate, whatever your thing is!!!
