I'm gonna be gone all day tomorrow...taking a trip up to the mountain for some skiing! I fully expect to experience SDN withdrawals so it might be rough. Have a good night everyone!

today marks the day that I have officially spent too much time at home.
woke up and my mom wants to me wash the floors and do the laundry! What the hell do I come home for? TO do the same things that I have to doin the apartment except I do not contribute to the mess hear really because I am home once a week. UGH! SO f*cking annoyed right now. I'm gonna do whatever they ask and then I escape into the city. enough brooklyn for me for today at least.

2013, top of the morning to you all. I was supposed to go into work today to help out but I have so much running around to do before I head up to the mountains, so I decided not to go in. How are you all this fine day?
 
I am at the airport right now, and I am taking a smaller plane. The terminal looks like a greyhound station... do any of you guys and girls think you will ever fly first class 10 years from now?

I'm not gonna lie. I'd really like to travel first class. I would adore the leg room. I get plane sick so easily. Maybe I'll get to try it some day.

First class in planes and limousines are two luxuries I wouldn't mind a whole lot. I like the idea of actually being able to relax when traveling somewhere.

I doubt I'd make either a regular thing even if I could afford it...it just seems so 'pretentious' and an unnecessary show of money.

Doesn't mean I wouldn't enjoy travel luxuries, though 😀😀😀.
 
First Class is pretty sweet. My dad travels a lot for his business, so I get free upgrades to first class on my flights... it's gonna be hard saying goodbye to that when I'm off in med school
 
I flew first class once b/c they overbooked the regular seats, and there were openings in first class, so they let us sit there at no extra cost. It was awesome.
 
other than leg room and more comfy seats, is there any real difference? Every time I think of first class I imagine these lounges with champagne & exotic foods hehe.

I'm only 5"1 so I doubt I'd need the extra leg room 🙁

it was a long time ago, but we had drinks and a really nice dinner. I think we had salmon, among other things.


In other news, I just watched what I think is my favorit sunny in philadelphia episode so far.....Mac Bangs Dennis' Mom.

Edit: Quoted from the next episode "Million Dollar Baby is totally unrealistic. Girls can't fight, they don't have muscles." :laugh:

i just hate flying.. first class or economy class, whatever. i hate turbulence lol

I've flown first class a few times on the flight between Atlanta and Tampa, because it was cheaper than economy for some reason. I kid you not. It was pretty sweet, some free alcohol, it was way too short of a flight to reap all the benefits of first class. I'm 6'4" with broad shoulders so I certainly appreciated the extra room. I am usually packed in pretty darn tight, except for Jetblue which has decent econ. seating.
 
i just went to see The Day the Earth Stood Still and actually really liked it 🙂
It was nice to get out of the house for a bit.
Now I am back and can think of writing my 1 page personal statement as to why my school should nominate me for a scholarship...

Really? during the trailer for that movie I laughed out loud when they showed the scene where Keanu says "If the Earth dies, you die. If you die, the Earth survives." in his perfected monotone. Really, Keanu. Thanks for the information, you're so deep!

but the movie actually was pretty good i thought and my bf agreed and he is usually sooo much more picky about movies than i!

I am so tired from skiiing all day!! I have rather large calves...so the top of the ski boots clamp down on them hardcore...I have a ringed bruise around my legs... 🙁

oh man! i had that last time i went skiing. it actually felt so uncomfortable that i had to loosen then a little bit.

edit: apparently all sleeping.

I piereced my tongue with a toothpick today (not on purpose). It was extremely painful. It is still throbbing and it hurts to move it.

Holy... like fully penetrated it? That brings up another issue, tongue splinters! I bet they aren't common, but they sound like the would be massively painful!

That sucks man. tongue splinters I'm not so sure about but I hate when you're thirsty and you get a hot drink...so you take a big gulp without thinking and completely burn your entire mouth....am I the only one who does this? 😀

No, it didnt go all the way through. It got stuck somewhere in the middle. I'm not sure which would be worse. Either way, it hurt like hell. I had troulbe eating a bananna this morning b/c any movement hurts. I guess it coulda been worse, if it had been knocked down my throat and punctured my esophagus or something.
