I like Tebow...but I have nothing but disdain for Urban Meyer. The SEC really is better than everyone else though.

Hey man, have you been getting a lot of PM's about reading personal statements? I'm at 4 or 5 right now...thinking about redirecting the next few ones I receive because its piling up.

haha, yea. I have two. I was hoping that since there were so many people on the list I wouldn get that much. Ive done one (he already sent it back for a second revision) and i have another one i need to read. Im just amazed that these foolios already have their PS ready to be revised.

Hey if you're backed up, post in the thread. I'll put you on the "Don't PM me until I'm done with the ones I have" list. But I'll give that list a fancier name...
 
I think Florida will win because OU might not be fast enough, kind of like how Ohio State wasn't 🙁

I went to bed at like 7 am est. I was watching a lecture on how hedge funds operate.

Also, I only had 1 PS request 🙂

Did you see any new moves you would like to apply to the basketball court? I'm still waiting to try the dribble or pass between an opponents legs 😀

haha! seriously, my favorite spot is the corner three. everytime someone hits that I wish it was me instead!

He's been with them for a little less than a year now! He has been taking games off sometimes to rest up is 37 year old body.

That stuff is so complicated. I've tried a few times but all the terms come out like a foreign language...I need to take a finance class for non-business majors or something because I am worried about my money management skills.

haha, crb i was just kidding. I didnt mean to suggest you came off as a tool (you didnt). If you did, i would have posted a picture of a wrench or something (ive actually done it a few times in other threads to people who have deserved it).

Okay, ive gotta shower and get ready. On top of being stabbed through my tongue, my girlfriends flight got cancelled so she wasnt able to come in yesterday :-(. She has a flight that is supposed to land today at 330. I'm gonna try and go to the mall and return some things (my camera's screen doesnt work right, i got some shoes that are too big, etc).

its so grey outside today.. 🙁 im still in pjs. was watching I am Legend before, but now just hanging out with you fine people.
i still havent gotten my grades, but i guess i may get something on monday.
 
omg! Step 1 is 8 hours?!
The material on this exam is quite comprehensive and covers everything you have learned throughout your preclinical years. The test is a computerized exam of 350 questions broken up over 7, 50-question blocks. You have 1 hour to complete each section. You have 1 hour of break time total throughout the day that you can distribute as you wish between testing blocks.

Has anyone else begun thinking about moving for next year? I go to apartments.com every now and then to look at neighborhoods. I am very excited to be moving into a new community!
 
haha i can be excited but i dont have all my info yet anyways.. so i wont be able to fill it out til feb or so. i also feel like there is no point "estimating" stuff because schools still want the actual numbers and i beleive some have actually said to fill out the fafsa only when you have your actual info.

but yea step 1 is long!! and im just trying to find more info about nyu and happened to come across that on their site.

man im bored at home.. i cant wait until monday! it will be my boyfriends and my 4 year anniversary.. eek lol

I have to figure out where I am going first. I hope I don't end up making a rushed, last-minute decision.

good evening everybody!

I can not wait to move to NYC next year (and the subsidized rents at Cornell are 👍👍). Now that I'm pretty sure where I'm going & I've lived in Olin already I can begin room shopping YaY.
 
I am going to have my taxes for my dad ready by the first week of January, my mom doesn't file taxes, and I just have to wait for my W2 then I can file. Then it's a rocket ship to the moon.
 
I'm in the opposite situation with housing. I'm not going to decide where I'm going until April (thank you, non-rolling schools) and it's very unlikely I would be able to make another trip to wherever I end up going to look at apartments.

I read on all these class threads about people already planning housing and how in some places waitlists for popular apartment complexes start in January. So I might be living in a shack at whatever turns out to be my favorite school.

i know.. isnt it crazy? my parents are telling everyone about how i will have to look for apartments soon and that i have to move june 1 (thats when my current lease expires) but i keep thinking how am i supposed to pay my summer rent? before we get our loan disbursements that is..😱

maybe.. but we would not get married before i finish med school because then it affects financial aid. and i also feel a little weird marrying while still in school.. i mean we cant take of ourselves yet, how in the world are we supposed to have a spouse? lol for now we are happy living together. this was our first year trying it out (both seniors in college) and i think next year will be smoother since we have worked out some of the kinks lol. also next year we want to get a 1 bedroom (currently we live in a 2 bedroom with another couple) because we need our own space. lol 🙄
