its storming here today. Went and got another fish (my betta died yesterday, she was 2 yrs old) and went thru a hailstorm on my way home so I'm staying in today.

We start on the 20th or 21st....but i go back on the 15th for rugby practice.

Lucky... I start on Monday which means I have to go back to my apartment tomorrow... I should start packing, and doing the laundry etc...🙁

Heh, you know, when I was working 50 hours a week I wished I were back in school. And when I was in school, I wished I were back working 50 hours a week.

And now I just want to win the lottery so it's not an issue any more 😉.
 
ditto BD. An 8-5 office job just isn't what I want to do for the rest of my life.

full time work makes me feel grown up. I wanna go back to fulltime school lol.
 
No one wants Zona? I'll take em since ol Kurt was on my fantasy team this year and he did some good things for me. I'm a Panthers fan as well. You know what though...I really wanna see the Fins win it all :meanie:

I had a bit of a soft spot for Atlanta but clearly that's not working out too well 🙄 :laugh:

I'm still a little bit distraught over the pats to be honest...still looking for someone new to root for. I wouldn't mind colts/giants or titans/giants.

Pianola, this is gospel. I always have that grass-is-greener on the other side feeling, regardless of my position. I can never be satisfied with what I am currently doing. Also AMEN to your winning the lottery.



Non related: I think I am the only male (probably person) that doesn't give two ****s about sports. Honestly I love playing them (football, basketball, etc) but watching them and following the teams/stats seems pretty ridiculous to me. Can somebody explain the allure? This seemingly simple thing has caused me so much grief because just about every watercooler conversation ends up about sports and I feel like to get ahead in life a guy needs to be able to hold his own when the topic turns to sports. Guess I am screwed.

You are not alone.:laugh: I think watching sports is a ridiculous waste of time... Who cares what a bunch of brainless idiots (no offense) did with an inflated rubber ball... I do not see the allure of it either...

Have you ever seen an NFL playbook? Apparently not. Thats not something a brainless idiot can understand, i gaurantee you. On top of that, having to know how the plays change in different circumstances and what they change to and what your responsibilities are in relation to everyone elses....... but its not just football, and it doesnt need to be a sport with a rubberball. These people are unbelievable athletes and absolutelky amazing to watch. You cant tell me you didnt enjoy watching the olympics......michael phelps? Dana Tores? Bolt? Shawn Johnson? those people, and other athletic freaks of nature, are exciting to watch.

Okay... you caught me... I was addicted to the olympics when it was on.... I procrastinated on my secondaries during those two weeks...


on a side note: Wow, it seemed really weird to think about secondaries since we have just been interviewing at this moment:laugh: and it was not so long ago...

Yes, yes I do. I was born in san jose, all my family is from the bay area therefore I am a 49er fan. Now in terms of the chargers....I f*ckin LOATHE them, and its in large part because of their fans, and in smaller part b/c phillip rivers is a F'n douche bag. When the chargers lose, the entire city abandons them, its like they dont even have a team (for example earlier this when they were 4-8, or any other year when they havent been any good). As soon as they start winning you have all of these "die hard" charger fans who swear their allegiance and i want to punch all of them in the face. Recently there was even an article written in a san diego paper talking about the band wagon charger fans.... Earlier in the year, they thought Norv turner (their coach) was a piece of **** and i swear they would have lynched him if they woulda thought they could get away with it...now i gaurantee you norv turner is their hero. Its just stuff like that really irks me. And now I have to hear this stupid "san diego super chargers" song all day and i want to cut off my ears. Its okay tho, they always choke, and I always have the last laugh.

I got nothing against Darren Sproles though. I liked him back at K-State...I always root for the little guys like him and Maurice Jones-Drew. (btw remember when MJD BLEW UP Shawn Merriman last year? That was amazing)

Damn right i'm a die hard hater. F the chargers. I dont have any probem with sproles, i root for the little guy too (im always the smallest guy on the field). He just happens to be an innocent bystander caught in the crossfire. Im glad he scored the TD and not phillip rivers or some other ahole. I take whatever little victory I can get.

hahahahaha....everyone is hating on the Chargers. I was torn b/c I am a cali kid and Ladanian and Sproles are two of my favorite players; however, I wanted the Colts to win for Tony Dungy since he is contemplating retiring. I don't mean to hate on Peyton's QB skills...He is not a bad QB...but I can't stand immobile QB's
