nope.

i already graduated, and i left my job for shadowing and interviews, and i've decided to not go back, coz i just wasn't appreciated there.

so i'm trying to find a job to work until june, but jobhunting is really rough these days.
 
i'm trying to think of a nice fun job to do for the next several months, something that doesn't necessarily have to be science oriented. or at least a place with nice coworkers (i'm a bit jaded from my last job, haha).

but i haven't found anything yet. 🙁
 
Yeah I know what you mean. I complain about working here but I know it could always be worse. My current boss is great and way more supportive of me going to med school than my last job.

It always astonishes me that supervisors can get so upset about their employees having other goals and aspirations outside of working for them forever and ever.

Yeah I think she's very good. There's a lot of up-and-coming soul singers out there now, what with Joss Stone, Amy Winehouse, Adele and also Duffy (if you've heard of her).

Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings are excellent as well.

I think some of them have this sort-of ego about it, like "I'm so awesome, why WOULDN'T you want to work for me forever?"

My last boss loved me for the first 6 months I worked there. Then one day, I mentioned that I was taking post-bacc classes at night and I could immediately sense that he disliked that. From then on, I felt like he was ignoring me more and I started to fall out of favor with him.
 
im leaving to go to the airport for my interview at VCU soon! will see you guys later! no sdners are going 🙂

Depends what type of music you listen to. I mentioned Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings earlier. Listen to 100 Days, 100 Nights.
 
anyone ever seen 'ace of cakes' on food network? that seems like a fun place to work.

i wish that place was in my area.

I am kind of picky... I hate rap, and not too big of a fan or r&b, although there are good songs..., I like some alternative, although when they start screaming, I turn off the song...

Yeah when they start screaming, it moves away from alternative and into the metal category :laugh:

What about singer-songwriter, folk-type music? That's pretty mellow. I have a bunch of good ones in that genre.
 
I just found out that I have to come to lab on Saturday... Woohoo! As much as I thought I would hate it, I do not mind.... I am glad to do stuff, and I need to finish my experiments for my thesis...

Yes, I actually really like it. Jack Johnson is really good, and I will not admit this in public but Simon and Garfunkel have a few good songs...

And there are some alternative songs that have the people screaming into the mike... it sounds like they are throwing up in the mike...

What's wrong with Simon & Garfunkel? I don't think that's embarrassing or anything.
