Yeah, I definitely understand that. I guess in my family we practiced thrift with everything (EVERYTHING). You don't buy things unless there are coupons involved 😉.
But at the same time, I think having the means to provide excellent educational opportunities for your child can be a good thing, too. IMO, there's a difference between having the money to pay for braces, summer school, and piano lessons than having the money to pay for a new car, a fancy new computer with all the gadgets, and an expensive cruise in the Carribean.
But I know what you're talking about.
