I spent a bunch of time on the first ones, but I started reading them quicker like an adcom would, I guess. Ultimately, first impression is going to be the most important factor anyway.

i discovered it by accident a few weeks ago. i found it could be very useful, especially when i started posting on this thread. 😀

Hey now, I had a great time on my interview day at Cornell. And Columbia for that matter. (They were back to back). Maybe both of the schools will love me back as I loved them 😉 😍

I've had 3 people ask me today where I'm going to medical school. I wish *I* knew. 😳

Haha! Yeah, that'd be so fun. Everyone needs a pianist!! We'd be a fine duo, I think.

I have to say, of all the curriculums I've looked at so far, I think Columbia is one of my favorites. If I were deciding just on curriculum alone (which I probably won't be) I think Columbia would be my top choice.

I interviewed on the day it first started snowing in New York. It was beautiful.

Yeah, I'm totally conflicted. I doubt both Columbia AND Cornell will admit me, so I guess that will limit my decision a little bit.

Not to mention I still loved Baylor when I visited and I had a good time at my Florida schools as well. UF was amazing and it's home for me, USF had a great interview day, and UCF had an excellent, genial group of interviewees (for their first class).
 
I've only actually managed to cross one school off of my list.

Sucks less than not knowing if you're going to medical school at all though 🙂
 
My mom was convinced I wouldn't get into medical school at all. Supportive parents are the best, aren't they? 😉

If they aren't even close to a middle-level draft I just send them back and say "Send me something you've put more effort into". Harsh, maybe. But its a matter of respecting the time and effort we are putting in.
 
I just botched that exam 😳 My girlfriend likely beat me by 20%! Hopefully we both get As, but I never studied for liberal arts classes in college and usually received A-/B+ as a result.

Soooo one of the steps of this thing I'm running in lab (after letting something incubate for 25 minutes) is to add a small amount of concentrated (30%) hydrogen peroxide to a solution and let it sit for 30 minutes. So wait 25 minutes, do 10 seconds of work, wait for 30 minutes.

I just got done waiting the 25 minutes and was like, hey, only 10 seconds of work then 30 minutes of waiting again! I'm not gonna glove up! Then I'm gonna spill the H2O2 all over my hand, bleach my skin white and go through a huge amount of pain for awhile!

Hooray!

Just thought I'd share. Don't spill hydrogen peroxide on your hand.
