Class of 2013!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Yes and most of them are mine. Hah. Answering a phone and watching a computer lends itself to lots of SDN time.

Especially since most other "fun" websites are blocked/banned/quote-timed

(We get an hour of "quota-time" per day...for fun websites...)

If only they knew how much time I spend here.

It's like chasing Cal Ripken Jr. over here...

Why did I stay up until 3AM talking with Mr. Nola?

So much to do! :scared::scared:

I hate that semi-panicky, kind of depressed feeling. At least it will be over in a few hours or less.

haha I totally know that feeling. and i totally get it for the same reasons lol
dont worry, once you start doing stuff and/or write down what you need to do, its usually not so bad.

Sadly, here I am. But only briefly, for I am off to class.

Yeah, I did one of my worst procrastination jobs ever last night... my Intro to Music History exam won't actually be hard; I just didn't start studying (like, at all) until 1:15 or so, and even then I couldn't pry myself off SDN

hah im so worried im gonna do that next week when my first exam comes up. the senoritis really is getting to me. i just dont want to do anything. however, i am realyl looking forward to medical school and moving and getting the new place all set up 😍

One last thing before I leave: I feel like everyone I've talked to that's been accepted to medical school is really worried about how they'll 'make it' academically...(and I am no exception).

I
guess the irony is that we're supposedly among the 'best and the brightest' (hence why we were accepted among applicants).

we totally are!!!

I love to study - and when it's something I want to learn, I can spend all day in it.

Back in the MCAT days, I was putting in 20 hours a day between class and MCAT studying. Can't say I MISS those days, but they weren't god awful.

And I was voted "Miss Time Management" at our senior funny awards. I can find five minutes in my day that no one else knows exists. (So yes, I'll be the one studying in the caf...and the hallway... and the lounge... and wherever else)

My mom is amazing. I attribute my mad time management skills to her. 😍

wow OMBD! i am impressed and admittedly a little jealous LOL

i hope you go to a school that has H/P/F because it seems like you can do H without a problem

i need to post pad guys.. thats why im so lo won the list. me and my multiple posts

also... i really shoudl be getting dressed for ballet and getting ready for classes. gotta leave in 15 but im still sitting around in a leotard and tights with nothing packed lol

hahah. senioritis REALLY settled deep into your veins now, didn't it?

You go to ballet before classes?

Honestly, count me as the oddball: I'm not concerned about this part. I probably should be, but I'm not.

I have done trimesters of 15 hours (the most you can take in a tri) along with two online classes (put me to 21 hours) and studied all of the mcat material (and that was before my sciences, so i was basically taking all 8 of those classes at the same time) at once. A multitude of information doesn't overwhelm me and I tend to be a good memorizer.

Now watch, come September I'll be freaking - but as of right now, I'm more worried about the whole moving to a new area, meeting new people (I have a bit of social phobia), and settling into a new routine than I am about the school work. I can DO schoolwork. I'm good at that. I can't wait to get thrown to the wolves
That is great. I can do that on account of my poor time management skills. Can you give me any pointers?

Being "happy" with B's will lessen my stress.

Plus, I'm just in the mindset that I'm going to enjoy med school - and not stress over every minute assignment. Looking at the bigger picture will help keep things in perspective 🙂

I agree... I am so afraid of being the one who cannot handle medical school... But my sister reassures me saying that once you are in, you will want to study because you have so much to do, and if you study well enough you will get through.

EDIT: Speaking of medical school:
