I just took the express bus downtown to get back to NYC when I went...

the options were either the 2 or 5 or 6 i believe followed by a bus...

yeah, I'm really happy with things, but everyone second guesses, at least a little! My friend that goes to AE is going to hunt me down if she ever reads this thread lol

with my scholarship it was 2.5x the cost of UW and I was getting sick of living in LA after 7 years. I also didn't necessarily like the culture of the school all that much. I also REALLY don't like anatomy being prosection, as at the time I wanted to go into a surgical speciality (and still might but am more towards rad now). It was a tough decision though. A lot of my family live in CA (but my parents live here) and I hadn't been near my parents since high school, so that was a factor as well.

I figured I did a lot of my homework so far, so I am taking a break and watching LOTR: the Two Towers, which is my favorite one of the LOTR series... Gotta love the Ents, and the part where Smeagol tells Boromir "They took... my PRECIOUSSSSS AAAUGH!":laugh: I always rewatch that part at least ten times

Mine too, I thought it was by far the best of the three.
 
I think the two towers was the best also, that fight at helm's deep is awesome. my least favorite (although my favorite of the books) was return of the king... the movie was just lame.
 
have any of you gusy ever seen the Dungeons and Dragons movie? LOL

Return of the King (movie version) really dragged on. I though it was going to end like 4 times before it finally did.
 
i really shoudl read the LoR books... I loved the movies but never got around to the books. was always worried theyd be too fantasy for me.. While I love science fiction, Ive read minimal fantasy (and by minimal i mean, ive only read Dune lol)

there are some great fantasy books out there. The tolkien books are ok, but there are better ones (like george rr martin, and the books about my namesake... lol)

haha very cheesy as far as i remember.. but in an adorable sort of way..
i kinda saw the movie by accident (went with my dad and family friends) and only later on found out about the game and how apparently some ppl love it to pieces?

I think people used to play that way back in the day (like when I was in grade school). I played some of the computer versions of the games, which are sort of cool. The books have evolved pretty far past D&D into the high fantasy realm, and are some of the better fantasy reads out there, though. I read a lot of scifi/fantasy in general (from SWEU to orson scott card etc) and I like both genres a lot.

It doesn't need to be perfect, but it needs to represent what you really think, and you need to convey that in your letter. Just make sure that the letters sound genuine and say what you really want them to say and you'll be fine.

out of curiosity, im reading the wiki article on women's rights in saudi arabia... and what horror! but what i found particularly.. whatever.. is there reasons for not allowing women to testify in court:

  1. Women are much more emotional than men and will, as a result of their emotions, distort their testimony.
  2. Women do not participate in public life, so they will not be capable of understanding what they observe.
  3. Women are dominated completely by men, who by the grace of God are deemed superior; therefore, women will give testimony according to what the last man told them.
  4. Women are forgetful, and their testimony cannot be considered reliable

Lentils with garlic and onions, fish and rice... healthy and delicious! A few years ago I would have thrown a tantrum if this were for dinner, but now I love it! It is odd how tastes change... I used to also hate bell peppers and onions, but now I cannot get enough... I still cannot get over my disliking of eggplants... although now it is tolerable though...
