Umm... maybe, I think every school is different when it comes to away rotations. I know that someone from my program did an away rotation at Cambridge, so I'm sure you COULD do it in Australia/NZ if you got in touch with the departments and set it up. The thing is that those aren't exactly your usual global health destinations, but certainly I'm sure you could do it if you wanted to.

what is everybody cooking/eating for dinner?

I'm getting ready to bake chicken, a whole yam, and steam some veggies

my mom gave me this awesome I idea to make a good wine reduction sauce for the chicken:

1. sear the chicken in a pan with a small amt of olive oil just to brown it (don't)
2. add shallots and garlic...but do not burn them
3. take the chicken out when it is 1/4 - 1/3 cooked...place in baking ware (glass ware) and bake at 350 degrees
4. add 1.75 cups of white whine/chardonnay...this will get all the tasty bits stuck to the pan...set to simmer
5. to the simmering liquid add 3/4 cup of water and some chicken bouillon (this will help thicken the sauce and add a little more flavor)
6. strain the shallots and garlic out of the sauce and add to the bake ware with the chicken
7. cook chicken until tender

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh so awesome!!!!!!

Fish curry with kichri ( a combination of lentils and rice).... basically what I ate yesterday except cooked in the exact opposite style...

that sounds good. what kind of curry?...yellow, red, green.
What kind of fish? I am trying to incorporate more fish into my diet but most fish is still too fishy for me...i.e. salmon, chilean sea bass, etc...

how do you make that dish?
 
I think my mom is making tilapia! Sometimes having your parents living in the same city is a good thing 😀

I dunno... it involves onions, garlic, paprika, oil, fish, tamarind, bay leaves, a lot of spices and something else.... my mom cooks for me, so I have no idea😳

It's not too bad... just this particular topic is complicated and I want to make sure I have it nailed. Definitely easier than last block!

i am not feeling well 🙁 i have been headachey and naseous all week long. and taking naps and i never take naps unless i'm sick. i just want to be better so that i can work out and have fun!
