Oh, and I just got home. was out this morning at 9:10 or so, and didn't get back till just now....

Amen! Btw I loved the library at Howard. The whole campus was gorgeous. i think you and the Misses will really love DC. It is definitely different from Cali

Yeah, I thought the library was beautiful. Definitely a place where I can get down and dirty with my studying. I loved the oldness of the campus. You can really feel and see the history of the school, which I also loved. Although I loved everything about that place. DC is another thing. I told my wife that she is going to love DC. I am looking forward to being somewhere different, at least for a lil while.

For shame! I mean, the Brigham is pretty special, but still.

The Brigham has everything... BCH, BI, and HMS is right there, what could be better 🙂 Plus Longwood is closer to nice areas to live like Coolidge Corner.

Of course, we know who is King.

Aren't they trying to be level 1? All the other hospitals are pretty p*ssed about it.
yup. emphasis on trying. Their resources are very drained though. It is located next to many of the homeless shelters and day programs so a lot of their resources are used up on treating the uninsured. Plus, other things they are just sloppy about.

But Longwood itself is a dead area. And MGH is more accessible and the neighborhood does not seem that bad.

Interesting...Mayo just cancelled my interview.

...the one I had in September 😕😕😕

Haha, wow... see I keep telling you that Mayo sucks...😛\

I am kidding Mayo. Please accept me for residency

More accessible? How so? I mean Longwood isn't exactly the most hopping area but it's not like Boston is large and difficult to get around.

Haha, maybe it was supposed to be a rejection, lol.

So, how is everyone doing? I am studying for the oral part of my Turkish final, which is tomorrow... 8 more days until Spring Break!

Leaving work now so I will see yall in a lil bit!

I hate the Green Line. I think this has been chronicled elsewhere. Comes once every like half hour and that's not cool. Now obviously if you have a car, Boston is pretty small and navigable.

Boston is even worse with a car. It's beyond horrible. The streets split and don't go straight & a lot of the streets have the same name. Every time I had to drive in Boston I got lost 🙁

Am I the only one who has never been to Boston?

Red line ftw.

And I'm with Scarlet. I like the location of MGH way more. It's a much more central area. You can totally walk to Newbury St. and Downtown Crossing from there, Prudential, the Commons, etc. And there's no area quite as pretty as the Charles St./ Beacon Hill area, which is where MGH is. And they have that cool new T station now!!

Ah point taken. I've only really driven in residential areas in Boston, and then only a few times.

But you guys survive earthquakes!!! how can you be afraid of a little thunder and lightning??

hahahahaha....B/c buildings in Cali now have be able to withstand an earthquake. I can sleep through those bad boys and if they are during the day and have more of a rolling than jolting feel then I pretend like I am surfing.

Lightning and thunder...NOT so much...I don't like the idea of being stuck between plates of a capacitor with a freakin conductor (air) in the middle....NOT FUN!!!!!!!

ever since i arrived in the USA. but i have been to LA, san fran, philly, minnesota, ny, san antonio, austin.

and you hated Killadelphia!!!! How did I guess!!!😀

Of course Cali is the greatest....alot like kiwi land yeah?

Man I so want to go to New Zealand...I love the accent

I didn't really mind driving there, although I do agree that the red line is a bit better than the green. I would still rather be in Longwood than MGH for the purpose of work.

I think that goes to Houston. It is the most affordable city in the country.

Dallas is more affordable... and less humid...

And Riceman, why do you hate Philly so much?
