Class of 2013!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Lol. The army doesn't have a decent spam filter?

In the six months since they let me have email, I have received 12 pieces of spam, of which 10, including both russian bits, were caught in Outlook's junk folder.

The rest are all claiming to be from the editor of Men's Health (oh, yeah, I would totally want to read that😕) telling me that I should click "[there]" to see "[someone's] real picture."

have to run lecture again tonight
professor had death in family!

is it update worthy to mention I have actually led lectures ALONE for a class I TA?
I know that is the norm for grad TA's to run lectures at some schools...but not here for higher level classes

Those Reds are reconstituting the cold war with threats of annoying email about cheap prescription medications. :scared:

EDIT: I've been getting a ton of these in my gmail SPAM folder.

...So what you're saying is you WOULDN'T want to read that? 😛

Sorry to hear that rice 🙁

Yeah, the same thing happened a year ago (but with another family member). I feel bad for her (the prof). But I enjoy teaching...so I don't mind.

It is a bit daunting though to know that Penn and the Professor actually trust me (a youngster) to give lectures. You see what attending an Ivy League school gets you...A lecture from a TA who took the class not too long ago himself....gotta love it

I dunno, CGS is a different beast than the actual College (SAS) wouldn't you think? Not that most people outside of Penn would know.

They keep trying to sell me a mass-marketing spam list.

What am I going to do with it?

those are teh stupidest ads yet. Is it conficker?

Very stupid. I'm not sure if it's conflicker or not. I got some sort of virus that is going to require a windows reinstallation; but I need to get a new computer in a few months anyway so my iPod Touch/roommates computer are serving as my home internet machine these days.

Man...you got BOTTOM and TOP

I think it's time to go home. So I'm going to troll my threads real quick and vanish.:laugh:

The trouble with silver staining is that you won't know you've screwed up until the end of the second day...

Wait, what protocol are you using? How long does it take you to do a silver stain?

I want my gummi bears... They should be here Saturday or Monday though. 😀

Eh, 'bout 5 hours after the overnight fix. I usually don't start until late morning, though.:laugh::laugh:

Let us know how long those gummi bears last.

 I will!

Really? Mine take much less time than that. You can fix for just an hour if you want (though I usually fix overnight, or even for... well, weeks if I'm being lazy 😀 ), and then after that it takes me... an hour and a half, tops.

(2 x 10 minute water washes, 1 minute in 0.02% sodium thiosulfate, 2 x 1 minute washes, 30 minutes in the 0.1% silver nitrate, a 30s water wash, and then about 5 minutes or so in the developer. And then 3 final 5 minute washes in water).

Official do-or-die protocol says wash 1 hour with changes every 15 minutes post-fix, then 5 minutes into oxidizer, then 2 hours of washing with changes every 15, then silver nitrate for 15 minutes, then develop for 15, and race to take a picture before the thing becomes an unreadable black mess.
