Twitter is nothing more than facebook's status updates on a separate site that you can access through texts. And people are going cookoo for cocoa puffs over it...

Ohhh, that makes more sense. I kept seeing stuff on SI.com about guys like Pete Carroll and Rich Rodriguez being on twitter, but I thought everything sounded suspiciously like facebook's status update. Didn't pay much attention after that.

I sent mine on mon but doubt it's gonna help. They are probably like "crap, Penn is tied with us now, time to be more stringent on GPA"

...Myuu, I'm on it too. Actually me and my boyfriend keep tabs on each other to see if the other one is busy - very convenient. Work purposes too! Sorry for the poor comparison with facebook. I did not mean to hurt your feelings.

As for Twitter, you can get texts if friends update their status, but only if you opt into it. You don't have to do it for everyone either - you pick and choose.

Me too! Three out of my four best friends were public relation majors. The last one-doing education. If I even started the sentence with "today, in bio..." I was quickly hushed.

A friend of mine called me the other day to ask "what do you do if you have hepatitis C?" I completely froze in shock-I used to date this lovely friend of mine. Well after I was stuttering for 2 minutes he busted out laughing and said he came across something on the internet about Pamela Anderson having hepatitis C, and he was bored so he thought it would be fun to freak me out. Not cool.

Ugh, I hope not, but probably. 🙁 I called today and they did receive the letter I sent, so the usps and the admissions office are nicely competent. It'd be actually kind of awesome to go to the same school as my friend who's going there for grad school. We'd probably live together... and it'd be cool. 🙂

... I'm on twitter too, but I don't post yet. My brother and his ex found me on it. 😱 And then I found one of my other brothers. So far I just use Tweet What You Eat as a food diary, and I follow a company that I like because I kept missing out on things that they announced on twitter first. 😡 I don't understand why people I don't know keep requesting to follow me?

I use email and gchat to keep in touch with my boyfriend. If google ever goes under, we'll lose a large majority of our exchanges! :laugh: Minus the msn chats, but we don't really use msn any more, not since he got his Android phone.

I have had a lovely evening up till now. Unfortunately I have much cleaning to do. 🙁 First I finish Season 3 of BS:G!
 
Its cool having friends outside your major. A lot of my friends at school are Pharmacy majors. Its just awkward with going out, etc, because their exam schedule is usually a week off from mine.

Most of my friends are either premed, a few are predental, and some pre-phd, and there are the occasional pre-law, and the engineers....

Okay, mine are all diverse...
