I am consolidating all of my email accounts (except yahoo) into a more professional gmail account... yahoo does not allow it... oh well...
 
I just use my yahoo account for junk mail.
 
Aww, yay quirks!! We're both going to be crocheting blankets for our future nieces/nephews 👍 I'm going for green but that's also because its my favorite color.

Eh, I guess...but at the same time I wonder how much hot water I'm gonna get into for having upper ear piercings and a couple of tattoos 😳 Otherwise I'll have to take them out and never wear anything besides full-coverage shoes and make sure my shirt is tucked in too...but I haven't done that in foreverrrr

I flip back and forth between Internal-> GI and Surgery->Colorectal Surgery... something to do with the gastrointestinal system though😀

How many tattoos do you have? As long as they're easily covered by your clothes, I don't think it'll be a problem.

Nothing offensive. My back and side pieces (cherry blossoms and a lotus) are almost always covered up by my shirt but I have stars on my feet with my grandparents initials...I was 18 and impulsive...🙄

My friend who's a nurse said she works with a trauma doctor who has tattoos on his head. No lie.

Edit: and I have 4...soon going for 5. They are addictive. That, and I'm such a bada*s.

Noooo you won't. I promise. Hopkins is in its own little bubble and the school has bought up virtually all of the property within a 5-6 block radius for "reclamation" so you really don't have much to worry about. Security is good and crawling in that area. However, head down the wrong street out of that bubble and things will be a little different...

You might consider my hat tattoo-ish... it's literally always on my head. My friends actually tell me that they don't recognize me at first if I'm not wearing it.

Yes, I'm actually as much of a Spurs fan caricature in real life as I am here 😀

They won't let me access the lecture system at Maryland even though as an employee I'm technically allowed access 🙁 I want to see what they're giving to the prematriculation program students!! They post everything on there! Have to wait though, which is NOT my strong suit.

I was thinking about getting one...I don't want to get one just to GET one though. I'd probably go with the shoulderblade, just dont have a design :shrug:

Ooh, cool! 😎 I love crocheting (I went through an "amigurumi" phase and made a bunch of animals for people, including two jigglypuffs and a pokeball) but I haven't done it in a while. Any idea what yarn you'll be using? When I made a blanket for my bf I used Red Heart Super Saver yarn because I was making a huge blanket and wanted it to be cheap, but I'm willing to use something of a higher quality for a baby. Might even use cotton!

I don't have any either. It's not really because I'm opposed to ever getting a tattoo, but I can't think of anything I'd want on me permanently. I would like at least another piercing in each ear... But I might end up never getting around to it (only one each so far; wanted another hole above the current ones, also kind of wanted to get an upper ear cartilege piercing).

I'm gonna splurge on the yarn too...the "baby" ones are a lot softer (duh) but I'm not sure what kind yet: I'm gonna go to the craft store as soon as I finish the afghan I'm working on now. And I hope the kid will have it for a lonnnggg time. I remember how sad I was when I had to retire my blankie as a kid 🙁

I thought that too before I took the plunge, then just got a bunch more because I figured, "aww, **** it. You only live once." That being said, I did put a little more thought into my newer ones but I rarely notice them anymore anyway.

Man have I seen some dumb tattoos in my day...an ex from high school got a snowman carrying a bloody bag that says "Heads" on it on his upper arm. What an idiot. But his Legend of Zelda-inspired half sleeve on the other arm was waaaay cooler.

Have you seen those pictures of people with tattoos on like 98% of their body or whatever? That's pretty outrageous.

Haha, I have my left side from upper rib cage to hip covered. Took 2 or so hours too, all in one shot.

He got his done in stages...2-3 sittings, about 90 min. each. His arm from the shoulder to 2" above his elbow is covered. And the arm is one of the less painful places to get a tattoo.

Yeah, I want it to be a lasting thing too. 🙂 I still have the blankets my grandma and a coworker of my mother's made for me when I was a baby.

Hehe, if my boyfriend ever proposes, I might get a tattoo, just because that's such a "Woah... pigs flew! 😱" event (he's a bit future-phobic so the idea of committing to marry someone sort of blows his mind). I'd get a "<3" tattoo for him since it's become a thing with us (when we first started dating and he was home for the summer, I'd send him postcards signed "Less than three" because we'd started saying I love you but he's really private and I knew he'd appreciate the subtlety. He did. 😀).

Ooh. Huh. Yeah, that is actually something I'd like to get a tattoo of. 🙂 But only if we actually get married, and it'd be very small and somewhere very inconspicuous.

Now I feel like I should get a tattoo someday, because I'm generally not a risk-seeker, but every now and then I like to do things that terrify me to compensate for my public squeaky clean personality.

I might tell him about it to try to freak him out. It's fun to freak him out sometimes, and it's been a while since I've been able to since I started the relationship with a "Well, if I tell him this and he stays, great!" attitude. :laugh: And yet he still loves me. 😍

Haha I'm the same way, but I'll never get a tattoo or piercing... I just don't like the idea for whatever reason. I'll compensate by drinking 😀 (btw, on a related note, never go to Vegas with your parents if your mom is going to give you a scathing glare every time you decide you want to drink 😡)

Tattoos and piercings are not my thing either... and don't get me started on the stupid plugs that everyone is getting nowadays🙄
