I'd been in a cab a grand total of 1 time before this semester. That was by far the weirdest thing to get used to. Had to make my mom talk me through how it all works. It was kinda sad really.

I'd also never traveled alone before interview season. It's kinda lonely.

travelling alone is cool...its nice to be able to do whatever you want, whenever you want to.

especially travelling for interviews...id probably kill anyone who bothered me

#3: because we're awesome! since we only lost to bama by 10 and florida lost by way more, we must be better than florida🙂 and we beat nebraksa and they almost beat texas, so we must be as good as texas too😛

this was my weekend:

went to a surprise party for my bff's fiance and the grand total of people at the party was 3 including the birthday boy, my friend who threw the party and me:laugh: stupid snow storm made it impossible for anyone to get there haha. it was fun anyways, we decided it was a really good party but it just lacked guests. so then we just drank strawberry daqueries, watched football (there were some great games on this weekend wow!), and ate as much of the ridiculous amount of food (meant for 15 people) as we could. he appreciated the thought at least, even though it didn't really turn into a stellar suprise party lol.
 
So is anybody else as peeved as me in terms of the Fiesta Bowl matchup?

Boise-TCU solves nothing. The winner will still be whining and it doesn't prove that the teams can play with the big boys. Ugh. Plus it's a rematch of a game from last year. Snooze.

The only game I'm interested in from the big 4 (besides the NC game) is Florida-Cincy.

Awful, awful matchup. It's almost like the Fiesta Bowl is taking the fall for everyone else so that way they can continue to undermine the non-BCS teams from participation in their exclusive club. I'm ticked about it, especially since I think TCU could compete with anyone in the country, ala Utah last year.

Yeah, I don't even let myself get mad about the college bowl debacle anymore. I just except that it sucks. Official playoffs plz.
 
So I just got tickets to the CapitalOne Bowl! My final LSU bowl game as a student. 🙁

But I'm going to DisneyWorld for New Year's!!!!

A high school friend works there and can give me hotels at 40% discount. 👍

So we're going to the Capital One Bowl?? In my defense I was at the rec and then showered. Just got on my computer.

Looks like I'll be in Orlando from Dec. 28th-Jan. 10th. 🙂 Dec. 28th-Jan. 1st is with the band complete with one free day in Disney and one in Universal. Then the rest is a free trip on the rents. Woot!

Woo! I only need a 62 on my MGT final to get an A. I need in the 60's for the rest of my classes too. This is making it very hard for me to study...

hmm i would probably eat more like 1500 if you're working out that much. you'll definitely still lose weight and won't put your body in any danger.

haha i used to love figuring out the exact scores i needed in different classes to get certain grades-all throughout the semester, not even just during finals time lol...my friends thought i was crazy (they probably still do actually, but now that i'm out of school it's for different reasons😛)

Probably depends on how much you weigh.

Problem is: I'm not that hungry. I could eat if I forced myself, but I feel bad doing that.

Also, I'm obsessed with the grade figuring out too. It's pretty sad reall. I think I'm like one step short of making an excel sheet that does it all for me.

wow really? even working out that much? i guess if you're really not hungry, listen to your body it probably knows what's best. just try and make sure you're getting all your nutrition because it's hard with that few calories.


haha i'm glad in med school grades won't matter nearly as much. i'm sure i'll be way too focused on passing to worry about getting a certain grade to achieve honors or high pass if my school has those distinctions.

:scared: that scared me! 1200 is the basal level....like what you need to breathe and for your heart to beat!

I naturally don't eat very much and since starting to work out I'm always ravenous. Working out will do its thing 🙂 no need to avoid cookies 😛 I don't
 
I'm with you Ksmi. I usually eat between 900-1100 calories a day at most. I rarely eat before 2pm (5pm is more like it). and I probably only have one meal a day (vege only). but I do snack. junk food. anyway. don't eat if your not hungry. I consider myself a healthy weight. if I work out (1hr cardio/day) then I just up my intake and add protein.
 
What a ****in copout by the BCS! Grow some balls and allow Boise St. and TCU to play a big conference team so that you can stop whining about them not being able to beat Big Six teams. Politics at its best 🙄

On an unrelated note, I sat next to a smokin chick on my flight back home from Boston today. But, she's dating someone who already has an MD 🙁. Epic fail.
 
so what did everyone think about the new scrubs. i didn't really like the new narrator or the older dude, but the cocky douchebag was pretty funny

I don't know that it had anything to really do with politics... I mean, the way it all shook out, the Fiesta Bowl would have had to have been dumb to set up any other matchup. TCU was the obvious pick after Florida, then when they picked next they pretty much had to choose Boise State or Cincy, and Boise State is known to travel well.

It's ok, but honestly I can't get over the ridiculousness of how it portrays med school. Like, they're getting pimped on the first day and magically have all this knowledge all of a sudden? They get a class on internal medicine IMMEDIATELY?!

Honestly, if they wanted to make a show about med school (which I think could be done), they should just start a new show.
 
yea, but i think the way scrubs portrays medicine is a bit more realistic than other shows
 
i hear scrubs is the most realistic show that depicts a hospital environment amongst all the med shows. i dont watch any except nip tuck
