Also, there's no way software engineering is that high up on the jobs list. That job is being outsourced like CRAAAAZY these days. There are literally tens of millions of Indian and Chinese programmers these days willing to work for less than 20k a year.

But it's great if you can get it. My friend just got a job at Cisco straight out of college that's starting somewhere around $60-70k. Then again, he graduated with like a really high GPA and had done two internships with Cisco.

i haven't given up hope in the least. i am however wondering what to do in the event that I don't get in this time around.

the timing of my application was the major factor in my current predicament. so does that mean I can just reapply really early next time around and things will work out?

i also plan on applying to less competitive schools. i went a little crazy with that this time.

Yeah, but it's definitely different; it's not one of those things where all the schools are the same and one is clearly not on the same level as the others. Personally, I'd say it's at least worth a visit, but it's your call.

Yeah, both those teams got shafted, really. Boise is at least somewhat legit though; they beat Oregon and they stopped TCU's offense. We'll see what they're ranked at the beginning of next season, but I'd imagine it'll be top 10.

what do you mean fill the class for the first time? does that mean you think that they haven't given out enough acceptances yet to fill the class as of today (assuming 100% of people accepted enroll, i know that won't happen.)
