what do you mean fill the class for the first time? does that mean you think that they haven't given out enough acceptances yet to fill the class as of today (assuming 100% of people accepted enroll, i know that won't happen.)

It's my educated guess; I'm pretty sure they try to set it up so that there are still some seats outright available at the last interview day. But then again, I'm not directly inside the admissions office so I'm just speculating.

Yeah, but it's definitely different; it's not one of those things where all the schools are the same and one is clearly not on the same level as the others. Personally, I'd say it's at least worth a visit, but it's your call.

Don't worry about the sickness. I had no voice for my Tulane interview and still got in. I just apologized to the interviewers for being practically impossible to understand. And they still let me in.

Sorry. What I mean is, it's not like you can look at CCLCM and realistically say it's that similar to any of your other schools--it's got a very unique curriculum and unique financial aid that really does set it apart. I don't know if the curriculum is a good thing or a bad thing or if those two together is enough to outweigh what appears to be a negative in location in your opinion, but you've already been invited to interview, so why not take a closer look?

good luck! haha funny story, snot was literally pouring out of my nose at my vandy interview. very awkward trying to wipe your snot away while convincing your interviewer that you are something they should find desirable for their school. but i'd like to think most interviewers are pretty forgiving about that kind of stuff

I'm glad you liked Baylor, I definitely love it here and generally I think my classmates are pretty much the best. Obviously you've got a bunch of other great choices, too, so you really can't go wrong. Let me know if you wind up with any questions about Baylor that I can answer 🙂

false. it's only tough if you tell them you're going to be there for a year. You should not feel any compunction to tell them your plans.

that's a lesson I learned the hard way when trying to find a bartending job senior year.

well, i wouldn't mind a couple acceptances , but really I did like the feel in MCW

I just figured you would want to hold out for MSTP . . . i mean i don't really know how the acceptance works, if you got into MCW for MD already, is it still pending for PhD too or not? if you got into MSTP at another school you liked less, would you go there?? how long does it take them to decide, anyway? because IIRC you had many interviews (and an MCAT score that made me want to throw up blood. in a good way.)

don't get me wrong, though, i thought MCW was really nice. i just think the Rush vibe fit me . . . more than i expected any school to! i really feel like i am gonna fit in there among other things, they really like nontraditional students, so i think there will be a good age range among my classmates. i'll be 27 when i start!

also, this is a terrible reason to have a bad feeling about a school, but i totally can't shake the whole MCW lunch experience i had (my foil-wrapped lunch, labeled veggie burger, was in fact a real burger and i didn't notice until i started chewing it!) and since i was sitting with a bunch of other interviewees i couldnt spit it out, i just had to swallow it. that kind of thing is bad enough any day, but it was right before the interviews, so i was on edge anyway . . . ugh! and then one of my interviewers was grilling me . . . i'd stayed with a host and had trouble sleeping . . . all in all i couldn't wait to leave when it was all over. the funny thing is, before i went, i was sure it was my top choice. but i think the universe was conspiring against me going there.

I don't know what I'd do. That would be the worst.
I am so happy that every school I've been to has been very respectful of my request for a vegetarian lunch...even when I am the only one...of like 30 people that wants one 😛
