Yeah I am usually not too hungry after I run also. Maybe it's some fight/flight/rest/digest/nervous system thing. 😕

still can't believe the saints won the super bowl.

i'm a life-long falcons fan. you have no idea how hard this is.

it's like being the most unpopular kid at school, except there's this one kid who's WAY nerdier and a bigger loser even than you.

but then that kid gets a car and runs over your dog. all in the same day.

Don't worry, the Lions will still suck for many years to come. We have to officially be the most pathetic team in football by now

That's my suspiscion as well.
kind of bums me out cause for the last 30 min of the run I was imagining the deliciousness I would be eating. lol pedie...if you are here DO NOT SAY ANYTHING! 😛

the Duke thread is making me sad for the emotional intelligence level of my possible future classmates.
lol

guyski....how are you a falcons fan? they suck something awful

Detroit Lions: 1935, 1952, 1953, 1957 NFL Champions.

Recently not so good, but that's a storied franchise.

I've heard that the Falcons message boards were going completely nuts lately.

I've also heard some dirtier analogies from Falcons fans.

I guess on the bright side, next season's Thursday opener is probably going to be Falcons/Saints.

So my dad is super against this FAFSA thing. He just emailed me that he doesn't want to disclose info about his income/etc. and that because of what he makes, I probably wouldn't receive any aid anyways. I don't care much because he has some sort of plan for me if I get in.. but will NOT filling a FAFSA be detrimental to me in any way shape or form at the schools?

Two of the schools I've interviewed at have said you won't receive any aid from the school unless you fill out your parent's info. At those schools, that includes scholarship consideration. Something to keep in mind/tell him.

So who would I need to write the letter to? The Dean of Admissions?

Hmmm... What would be more appropriate (Dean vs. Adcom)? Also, I know this has already been covered in the forum, but should I email it or send a hard copy? I feel like in this situation, it might be better to send in a hard copy, but I have no real justification for this.

I addressed to adcoms and attached them as a PDF to emails.

i can finally post in this thread so i wanted to say hi!

....also i REALLY need that snow day tomorrow, my job = very lame

So, I applied for this fellowship thing through Phi Kappa Phi, and every chapter can only send one nominee. Well, I won my school's nomination and the chapter is giving me $500! I didn't even know that was part of it. And now I'm in the running for winning one of 60 fellowships for school. 🙂

Nice. I would like $500.

That's like 420 double cheeseburgers from somewhere...

Congrats!! Where'd you get in??

thank you! i got into creighton, so it looks like i'll have to get used to living more than 10 minutes from the beach haha....congratulations on your fellowship that's great! have you narrowed your list of amazing acceptances down to a few favorites yet?

That's in Nebraska right??

Thanks! Hmm, my favorite school when I visited was JHU. But Vandy was a close second and WashU's pretty nice too. I'm basically waiting on the monies situation to pan out. I'm too stingy to turn down good money, haha.

random question:
does anyone know where they sell those "sports jelly beans"?

I don't think my Biochem test will be as bad as I once thought. I just need to decide what are the important things to put on my "cheat sheet" that we are allowed to bring.

If I can pull a solid B with only 1 day of studying, that would be awesome.

Jealous. I have to learn all these structures (amino acids, carbohydrates, nucleic acids, nucleosides, and nucleotides), plus everything else. If I had a cheat sheet, I'd write all my notes on it very strategically and very small.

Me too! Is it crawfish season yet?? I can't wait to pinch the tail and suck the head...
