Class of 2014!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
i should change it back, there is no 'mad prophet' on this list but ill settle back.

Anyways there are 1285 pages of this thread i have to read, great.

I don't think I could be somewhere that landlocked...

I need my fresh seafood!!!

OMG, best seafood restaurant in the history of my life was Pappadeaux in Dallas. They also having amazing creme brulee. I would go to TX just for their creme brulee.

Congrats, but do us a favor, change your status back to pre-medical.

I was wondering why there was a med student and a pre med with a similar/same username. I thought I was going crazy.

yeah i cannot believe how long and crazy this trip has been, but its finally over (for the most part!) and just wow.

Congrats on getting in call me x!!!

In not so exciting news, I'm pretty sure my nasty cold turned into a sinus infection.. Can't wait for the health center to open so I can get some antibiotics.... So. Much. Pressure. In. My. Head.

Jealous. I have to learn all these structures (amino acids, carbohydrates, nucleic acids, nucleosides, and nucleotides), plus everything else. If I had a cheat sheet, I'd write all my notes on it very strategically and very small.

I did too last year. I've never had a professor allow the class to bring in a 'cheat sheet' for any course.

I was allowed a 1/3 page cheat sheet for Pchem 1. That's about it.

So amidst the craziness in NOLA Sunday night, I found someone's digital camera they must have dropped.

I am now the proud (free) owner of a green Nikon Coolpix. 👍
I just need a charger and computer hookup cable now.

feel better sammich!

also, i remember being in omaha and someone mentioning a good sushi restaurant and i got really confused haha....

Accepted, i am the prophet. not revealing it, but it happened, im now a real part of this thread.

Finally found something somewhat relevant to my usual...

Congratulations!

I had a red coolpix. I hated it. I got an exilim for my birthday that I love so far so I sold my coolpix on ebay 🙂

None of that for me.
Some of the physics profs allowed cards with formulas+whatever you want for exams but not mine. That was ok though since I used those formulas soooo much that they all just stuck in my head anyway.

Never had a cheat sheet for a science class either! Man it was a royal PITA to memorize all those antibiotics structures plus every friggin enzyme and product in some pathways. But I suppose we'll be doing a lot of that in the coming years....

I did get cheat sheets in a lot of my engineering classes tho.

Forgot about physics. The prof. gave us a sheet with tons of formulas on it for each exam. Nevermind!

What, you got a cheat sheet for physics!? I took calc-based physics and there was no cheat sheeting going on.

Aww poor camera owner. 🙁

I'd try to get it back to them using http://ifoundyourcamera.blogspot.com

But that's probably just because I already have a camera.

And you could probably find cords online.

I'm sure a whole ton of people lost stuff on Sunday night.

I think it was from someone in one of the parades earlier in the day. I found it on Canal.

Yup we were provided a sheet with the basic formulas from each chapter. It didn't really help us much though as we basically knew them all by heart anyways (especially me, because of the approaching MCAT). The big monster problems (worth the majority of the exam) involved knowing how to combine like 5 of them in weird ways so everyone still bombed regardless

This pretty much sums up my physics experience in undergrad

Quick, what's the law of cosines!

Hey Spurs, if you're in here... I just want to tell you that you suck for posting that Cleveland video last night 😡

Great, now I've watched that commercial 5 times. It's sooooo cute. It makes me want to tear up!

My study habits drastically improved from hs to college. I wonder what the jump will be during med school.

i kinda like physics, never really read the books or listened to lectures, i just read the formulas and they just kinda made sense to me.

I feel like my hs grade card was littered with B's but I still got over a 4.0 with the weighted bs lol

My college transcript is littered with B's too... no bailout tho 🙁

i remember my biochem class, i had like a 95 average up till the last test, then a friend of mine told me that the last exam was gonna be an exact copy of the sample exam. it wasn't. i got like a 60 and and ended with a B+ 🙁

Biochem, you suck.

I agree. Test tomorrow - studying done, not much.

I liked Physics 1. Mechanics was fun. But Physics 2 sucked because of E&M, that crap was hard.

I agree. Mechanics wasn't bad, but EM sucked. I hate that crap. Looking back, I don't know how I made an A in Phys 2, especially after failing the first test.
