Class of 2014!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I agree. Mechanics wasn't bad, but EM sucked. I hate that crap. Looking back, I don't know how I made an A in Phys 2, especially after failing the first test.

EM's not that bad now that I have to tutor it. I got a C on my first test. But the stuff seems pretty simple now.

I just couldn't get it. The series, pararell circuits, Kirchoff's rule, and all that stuff, right hand rule, left hand rule. Urg...

I screwed that class up big time. I should have studied....

i didnt go to class so i would come to test and frequently see people using a cheat sheet and get confused. i have really bad handwriting and i'm lazy, so i dont think i would use cheat sheets anyway, its too time consuming

Identify the nodes and you get all the circuits stuff. I don't think Physics 2 gets into circuits that are neither in series nor parallel, so that's about all you need. As for the LHR RHR stuff you just need to visualize it.

I see. Whatever, I'm not doing anything related to that till my deathbed.

i remember my biochem class, i had like a 95 average up till the last test, then a friend of mine told me that the last exam was gonna be an exact copy of the sample exam. it wasn't. i got like a 60 and and ended with a B+ 🙁

 for my biochem class, they had the final the night before i graduated and moved out.

unfortunately i actually had 8 tickets (my friends were coming from mad far for grad) to a concert at MSG at the same time as the exam and since i never went to class, I never found out that they coincided til the night before. So I emailed the prof, telling him that I didn't know and that I was flying out to europe for a job interview or something and wanted to take it much earlier. I started studying that night, pulled an all nighter, took the exam at noon, pre-gamed, went to the concert, got ****faced, got lost, woke up just in time to go to graduation at the old yankee stadium (rip) and meet up with my parents. i was so hungover, my parents had no idea too - i told them i had allergies.

That sorta happened to me but I managed to get an A-. 96.96.98.72.

I liked Physics 1. Mechanics was fun. But Physics 2 sucked because of E&M, that crap was hard.

Physics 2 > Physics 1

Kinematics is just the worst. So boring.

Hey Phospho, I interviewed at OSU yesterday.... tell the ad com to let me in 😀

So, I applied for this fellowship thing through Phi Kappa Phi, and every chapter can only send one nominee. Well, I won my school's nomination and the chapter is giving me $500! I didn't even know that was part of it. And now I'm in the running for winning one of 60 fellowships for school. 🙂

Cool. 👍

go for it spurs!

phospho... i loved it, it's at the very top of my list.

food... mmm, wright st. beat it out haha, but still good. I'll tell you how the interview went in 2 Mondays tho haha

what did you guys have?

Lobster bisque, pot stickers, asian chicken, rice, all kinds of stuff I didn't eat, creme brulee, 2 types of cheesecake, apple cobbler... And this is just what I remember.

It was good, but I actually liked Wake Forest's food better.

Blasphemer! Not that I know, plus food is so subjective. Most people on SDN say UVA wins, though.

making you proud baby!

I saw that 2014 in your signature, and I got so excited! It's been a while since I've been on, but CONGRATS! :horns:

Haha thanks. Definitely enjoyed my OSU interview. Wished I had been accepted, but deferred instead, but it's okay.

i think you will like OSU anyway JJ, you dont seem like the big name chaser type. you'll get tired of those people quick

I think I'm somewhat of a big name chaser. 😳
It might have to do with my choice of undergrad or the fact that my definition of a big name is a little less than some people's. To me, OSU is a big name.

OSU is a great school. I think Harvard UCSF WashU and Hopkins have a different environment (places i would not be able to do a MD/PhD at)

got drunk a couple of weekends ago with some friends... 2 of them were straight out accepted and 3 of them were accepted after they had been deferred... just sayin' :luck:

Cool thanks. Definitely hoping.

Yeah, OSU is a big name IMO. But brook is right in that those schools he listed are in another level.
