Very True.. 13 = Bad Luck to people.
Since you're deferring, you know where you will be going though, right??

FSU all the way. I have to do the 2010 AMCAS and do the Early Decision. They said that my secondaries, LORs will carry over..
Here it is. There's probably some typos b/c I copied it from a piece of paper last year, and never made it through the whole thing when I was writing my answers.
EDIT: Apparently, I'm bad at attaching. How do I make it show up in its own little frame below my text?
EDIT2: Thanks, got it!
yes, finally one professor out of my three professors turns his LOR in. Two more to go.
Seriously, how hard is it to put a ****ing stamp on the envelope and mail the ****ing thing?
apparently very hard since one of my profs made me come into his office and then seal the letter and mail it off for him........i admire his lazyness thoguh. On the bright side i have 3/4 letters now...assuming none get lost in the mail! Now i gotta force the last one...
Just found out Im going to be in the Class of 2014... due to a deferment for a medical reason. I just love my even numbers 😀
Good Luck to all
Oh my lord... I am sooooo tired... I sat on the phone with a patient today and called him the wrong name for about ten minutes... Then when I got off the phone I said his 'wrong' name again and was wondering why he sounded off.
So I started replaying the conversation and reviewing his info, then I was like...![]()
I did that with a patient who was already angry for other reasons a couple months ago, face to face. So embarrassing. She had donated to the organization in the past too 🙁Oh my lord... So, in the living room with my parents...
ksmi's mom to ksmi's dad: "We could always put ksmi up for adoption..."

best TV show of all time.
ok, you *sort of* made your way back into my heart with that comment. i can't believe that show was cancelled!
why bother spending time making extremely witty humor that feeds on itself every episode through the entire series when you can reap massive profits from garbage like reality TV and the rest of the slop that harangues our airwaves today.
also, i feel that i am getting waaaay too freaked out about my activities descriptions. i decided to go the paragraph/full sentence route rather than do bullet points. i'm just so worried, but i keep telling myself that my job with these is to sound interesting and... well, experienced. and most importantly to pique the adcoms' interest so they want to interview me. right? 😳
also, my research descriptions are driving me nuts! did you guys talk about specific duties you had in the lab? (i.e. ran ELISAs, did qPCR, did blots of many sorts, isolated X species, etc.) or did you focus on the thrust of the research? (i.e. examined the effect of X on Y and found that Z happened.) or some of both?
bahhh i am turning into the basket case i promised myself i wouldn't be. foiled by my own brain! 😎

I think that would be fun. ACT. Congrats 🙂
So I just got an email from TPR. They want me to teach the ACT. Hmm, at first I wasn't very happy, but now that I've thought about it, the ACT is easier, and I'll get to teach 4 different subjects instead of just one. So, I guess that's a good thing.![]()
You took ACT in high school?
I live in the south. That's what we take here. I did also take the SAT, but I liked the ACT so much better.
Nice to see another AD fan out there. Just remember, there's always money in the banana stand.Hey top banana! (Arrested Development)

I'm working on secondaries, and trying to keep myself off SDN.where is everybody
did i just chase everybody away
I'm working on secondaries, and trying to keep myself off SDN.
It's hard to concentrate on secondaries when I don't even know if they'll be the same for next year.
Oh well, if they're not then at least I've thought about some of the questions I'll be asked at interviews. I'm going through my schools alphabetically. I'm already done writing down first drafts of three!
I hear you. I haven't started my PS just yet, but I have a deadline. My lab director has agreed to review it so I must have it ready by Friday 😱ahh
