:laugh: Yes!!! The marathons!! I love them and hate them at the same time. I love them because, well, Law and Order is amazing. And I hate them because once you start watching, you just can't stop.

and is that schritzo character still in high school? why is he posting here? kids like that scare me... i didn't know what was involved in applying to med school until the months leading up to my application. jeez.

i knowww! although i own so much TV on DVD that i create my own marathons with other shows all the damn time... west wing is my all time fave.

I spent my weekend in Maryland with friends from college-it was really fun🙂 Didn't do anything too exciting-helped my one friend look at wedding dresses, went wine tasting, got sushi, watched chick flicks-but it's just so nice to hang out with them. Growing up and everyone living far apart from each other is no fun! I think the weekend kind of solidified the fact that I Georgetown is my #1 though: close to friends + my favorite curriculum/school in general=win. Now I just need to get in😛

might be cutting it close... is that the earliest your school can do it? i have never understood schools that work that way. wtf, it helps no one-- students end up with late apps, and the school looks bad if fewer people get in.

i'm going to have to ask.. i'm kind of pissed i'm getting everything ready to go in may (a month!!😱) and all my letters are already in the file, but i still have to wait around.
 
I leave last night and what happens? Everyone misses #90,000. :smack:

This happens all the time... my roommate's application was delayed by a month and a half by one letter writer. I'd be so pissed! 😡 It seriously hindered his application.

well i much prefer being 90,001 anyway 😛 i've gotten a lot of the xxxx1 posts... i think i had 50,001 and 25,001. maybe some others.

+1.. i know i have an a wrapped up in this class. but if i lay an egg on the final it's toast.. so i have to at least go through the motions... bleh...

and bleargh, our committee typically doesn't send out letter packets til august either (even though they compile them and write the cover letter in june/early july). i just bugged them and they sent mine out earlier than everyone else's :meanie:

hope everyone had a great weekend! i had a fun (and enlightening) revisit at HST... it looks like the worst case scenario with them will leave me $80k more in debt than going to duke. *sigh*

i think the letterhead from your committee kind of lets them do whatever they want and get away with it.. =)
