oi... 🙁

wha????

truth. I need to go back and rewatch all the movies now that im older.

Yeah, I feel bad for my buddy. The kid has a full ride to OU as well and is in the honors college. I should've taken his keys, I threw him on the ground telling him not to drive, but he was crashing from a cocaine high and was getting pissed at this girl and wanted to leave. It was unreal when I found out, my heart sank.

Edit: Ugh, my buddy's facebook status,
spending my birthday at the hosipital. my rehab is going really well i should be home w in a few days. All the love and prayers have been unbelievable. Thank you for all the wonderful messages. I promise ill respond to all of it once i get better. Also, thank you for all the visits and flowers. It means alot. I love all of you
Yeah, I figured out that if the teacher knows that you know arabic he gives you a 4.0 in his arabic classes. I took him out to eat once and he shared his basic teaching philosophies with me, they made sense. He basically said, who is going to take arabic? Middle-easterners, if I make my class hell for middle-easterners then no one will take my class right? It is crazy how easily a PhD is given now-a-days.

Aladdin says "naked teenagers" or something of that nature, there's a phallus in the castle in little mermaid, the word "sex" is written all throughout the lion king and beauty and the beast.

I would break Ikea furniture so fast... Ikea's stuff looks cool, but it is extremely fragile.

I have a used Ikea bedroom set, so I have no idea how old it is, but it is built like a tank for me. The only complaint I have is the flimsy POS back of my dresser. The bed is amazingly sturdy and so is the nightstand.

Hmm, we have an Ikea computer chair that works fine, but it is way too small for my buttocks to be seated comfortably. Also we had an Ikea kitchen before I ended up breaking all the cabinets. I can't tell if it's Ikea that is flimsy or if I'm just a behemoth.

Yeah, I think you just suck. 😛

I wish I could do preclinical years someplace else and then come back to NOLA for my clinical years. It would be sweet if we could switch med schools after 2 years, kind of like a transitional year.

I have never been in the following stores (There are some near by, I have held out as a point of pride):

Trader Joes
Whole Foods
Ikea

Straight Giant Eagle and Goodwill for me, yo's.

The guy who started Whole Foods was a Middle Eastern man with the last name of Jonna. One of his nephews went to high school with me and a different one of his brothers has a family living on the same lake that I live on, (that makes me feel pretty rich 😀) When he sold Whole Foods the deal was that he couldn't open up another chain for 7 years, well 7 years has passed and he recently opened up Plum Market and I'll just tell you guys straight up, Plum Market sh**s on Whole Foods.

whole foods is so flakey. like walmart, they've mastered being deceitful and dishonest.

+1. warm beer=:barf:

It wasn't warm, it's just my fridge isn't that amazing. Like it was cold, just not cold like the Rocky Mountains. I had one that was colder just now though, and it still was nasty. American Ale is a 👎thumbdown. It's got wayy too much of a wheat aftertaste that they claim is a "hoppy note"... Hoppy note my a**, that tastes like wheat. Corona on the other hand, amazing. Good night at the local grocery for me 😀. I didn't even get IDed.

Ikea is a decent store. I don't quite understand it's cult status, but they have some good stuff.

Whole foods=$$$$$$$$$$

Hoody I hope your not mad at me about the whole nursing thing. I'm sorry if I came off harsh, I was just trying to state that the classes are different for nursing than for pre-med and that an NP might have some catching up to do on the science portion if they were to go through similar training to MD's.

Ikea's batteries last pretty long and they have good caviar for cheap prices. I just don't think it's a realistic place to go shopping at all the time. Trader Joes is pretty tight.

His father owns the Michigan Commercial Real Estate business. Yoda you probably know what a Chaldean is, but for the rest of us on here a Chaldean is a Catholic Iraqi that stems from a different tribal background than other Iraqis. It's tough to explain, but Iraq is very tribal, you have the kurds, Tikritis, Moslowis, Chaldeans, etc. Chaldeans speak a different language and eat different foods and have a completely different culture than other Iraqi tribes, although now-a-days the difference is vague and everyone speaks arabic in order to be able to deal with going to the markets etc. There's a large accumulation of Chaldeans in the metropolitan area.

Re: Ed Jonna started Merchants of Vino which was bought by Whole Foods and started their major success.

Their food is so fresh and tasty. I used to get gift cards all the time cause Ed was a patient at the Dentists office.

Detroit? 😕

Suns FTW!!

Huge Diff between Detroit and metro-Detroit. There's a lot more rich people in Michigan than anyone would believe. I don't know how to put this without sounding like cocky or anything, but the average salary of a person living in the city I currently reside in is $170k a year. The city I live in is not a small city by any means. This is still Michigan we are talking about.

I told my 86 year old father today on the phone that I got two ear piercings.

He paused for about ten seconds and then asked if I was gay.

FML.
😱

and two on the same ear or one on each ear. and lobes? or helix, conch, rook, etc?

Are most of the rich Detroit people holdovers from the auto money?

There's a lot of auto execs, pro athletes, CEOs, Docs n Dentists, etc. Their all such d-bags though man, I worked at a Dollar Store and it was crazy how many people rolled up to the Dollar Store in range rovers and BMWs and complained about the quality of our merchandise. I'm just like chill dude it's a dollar, I'm not allowed to give a refund but I can give you dollar out of my pocket it's not a huge deal and nice keys are those laser cut? Just to make 'em feel like crap lol.

yeah, my man went to med school and did residency in mich, so Im a little familiar. its not bad. well, the upper peninsula leaves some to be desired. Ontonagon, hougton, etc. lol, the memories. Tech vs. Northern is an epic rivalry.

It's not just all in one city either, like my ex lived decently far from me and her father was a cabinet salesman or something like that and he had a really nice house and several extremely nice cars including a Ferrari. If you post up in the right spot you could wait for 15 minutes and see 3-4 $200k+ cars within a span of 10 minutes. It's just that the middle class is being smothered and everyone is either rich or poor and of course there's a lot more poor than there is rich. The neighborhood I grew up in is now a ghetto.
