yeah i hear you on the restudying part...im supposed to retake it in july, but i can't do anything. you would think that retaking it soon after getting your score would be good because you will still remember everything, but it is damn near impossible for me to get into mcat mode anymore. i think i'll just go with my 28 and be done with it.
as an aside, i think cali should have 10 more medical schools to accomodate all the qualified applicants. just sayin'.

lol well in 3 more yrs UC merced (serious merced wtf?) and UC riverside will have med schools...so all we have to do is reapply 3 times...
. Its kinda ridiculous how the difference between a 29 and 30 is so huge but sadly it is...If only I would have guessed right like 2 more times id be good. sometimes i wish i got a 28 because then I would be forced to retake lol.ahha o god...i figured it would be like that...this gonna go down as one of the worst finals in history...like those years the pistons and spurs won in early 2000 and they had the lowest ratings in history lol

I don't believe that. The pistons/lakers series in 2004 with all no-name pistons and shaq and kobe on the lakers was a huge surprise for everyone. 5 games and shaq and kobe are out??!?! no one expected that.

he's talking about the ratings... nobody likes watching the pistons (the 2004 series drew ratings for the lakers and the 4 hall of famers on the team at the time). nobody likes watching spurs either for that matter.

I lived in Detroit that summer so I only saw all the fanatics up there. I was into it too.
I don't know, Blue's been "under review" for a while. I bet the reviewer reads SDN and just wants to keep him in limbo.
In detroit of course people are going to be into but as a whole those were by far the worst rated series in history. I for one enjoyed the pistons, though I hate watching the spurs and hated when they got to the finals during their dominant years.

when i checked at like 9 am the next day it was still under review. it was only when i came back at like 5pm that it was finally verified. but i didnt check at all in between so i cant say what time exactly.

don't worry too much about verification. if you get verified before jun wheneverthe****ever, your app will be submitted at the first possible time (i think, from experience).

i agree but they definitely do not have that significant height advantage that they had against cleveland in the wing to just shoot over people.
dwight faced a much slower front line against cleveland (and badly coached at that). i think he was only okay against boston and philly.
i just hope this doesn't become a home/away series - ie MIA ATL series.

Yeah i saw that video during the game last night, it's funny. i think home court is going to be a huge factor (i dont think we've lost more than 1 playoff home game yet). If the magic are going to take it all, they need to win on Sunday, because it's going to be hard to win 3 in a row at home.
I think they should have waited til game 3 to put in Nelson also (when they're at home). He played point pretty well, but some of his shots were wayyy off (i saw him shoot at least 3 airballs).

i agree i love jameer since he's from philly but it was way tooo rushed and he got some minutes in the first half which skip deserved (even though jameer is the better player, they played great with alston thus far)

yessir rafer has been playing really well too (26pts against cleveland in game 3 i believe)... i think stan van was panicing a bit - jameer was high scorer in both reg season games against the lakers so he was trying to get all the help he could get. he just just stick to his orig. 5, play the pick and roll and hit shots. anyway, we'll see what happens

serious 🙁. I think its safe to say we are the only laker haters here oc..😡. The magic need to get crazy hot like they did against cleveland. Ive never seen 3 pt shooting like that ever. It seemed like they were shotting 60% +. Everytime they shot it was in. I didnt even watch last night but it must have been brutal.
Man I think i should ahve chosen my schools a little better...there are so many schools on my list I would absolutely hate to go to...i counted like 12 that even if i was accepted id turn it down for damn near any other school lol. Hell I almost would rather reapply then go to some of these schools. I guess i was just too paranoid and worried. Thankfully i didnt pay for them or id be kicking myself right now.

I know it's rather naive to think they would actually go and search for every applicant's profile, but some people have made me paranoid. please try to keep your facebook profile private, I know its very difficult for TAs/RAs to be not open, but people do check (mostly out of boredom). Once you graduate college, I noticed my fb usage has dropped to maybe 20 seconds a month.

also extremely random question: you know on secondaries, a big question is "why should we pick you?" "what makes you different?" etc. I feel like I'm kinda spilling everything on this one that I just had an inclining that if they asked me that same question during an interview I would have nothing to say 🙁
has this occurred to any of you? should I leave out some things just so I would be able to mention them at an interview?

do not assume an interview and do not assume an acceptance from any school in this process.
you really need to put your best out there in each step. that includes the primary, secondary, and the interview (update letters, LOIs too). Interviewers rarely take notes during the actual interview (although some have). The interviews are also staggered one after the other, meaning no time for the interviewer to write down thoughts about you immediately after your interview. That means 1. either you have to stand out in your interview or 2. the interviewer will refer back to your essays from the primary or the secondaries.
Admission decision are based on a committee. Most committees do not interview you as a whole, however, they all can see your essays and secondaries. Grades, MCAT, Essays, ECs, and LORS will always stick. Your interview can put you over the top, but if you have well-thought out answers for your secondary questions, then repeating them at the interview will still get you an "Amen". Lastly, I can't see too many people bing like what makes you different, what do you bring to the school. Interviews were mostly like so what did you do in this activity here... then getting distracted.
take it one step at a time, make sure you have everything you want to say on your primary (which affects ALL schools for the 9 month period) and the secondaries.

i just checked their site and they're closed until June 9th. they are currently entering transcripts received on 6/4. Mine is taking forever but as long as it's verified before 6/24 then I'm a happy camper.
