That's because you ate seafood in Ohio. General rule of thumb: if there is no large body of water where said seafood can be found close to you, you should not be eating it.

I did all of mine, somewhere around 31 or so. The rest of the schools im applying to have no secondary essays.

I think thats the point, everyone will have a different opinion that includes adcoms. Some adcoms told me they are very impressed by my app and that i have a great chance at med school. Another told me to not even waste time applying as im only average, she doesnt care about what I had to do to get where i am today. I read your PS and i still stand by the fact that I think its great. But others may think differnetly. I feel you explained why you wanted to go into medicine and gave some concrete examples as to why. I mean a great example would be one UCI adcom told me Id have an excellent shot at UCI and the other UCs, another told me id have a hard time getting in to any UC, and most likely id end up getting into a smaller private med school (i.e RFU, nymc, albany, etc etc)...point being youll never please everyone even those who "know" a lot about the process such as adcoms or deans.

i don't disagree. i love southern food. even the fast food there rocks (every time im there i have waffle house once a day at least).

Sure, we may have the dumbest, most obese people and the most unbearable weather, but gosh darn you have to admit that the food is awesome.
 
My home state is number 3....

Maybe I am considering the health factor of food over the deliciousness...

I dunno, food packed with fat and calories tends to make it less appetizing for me.

it depends how its done. packing mcdonalds with fat and calories doesn't help much. dousing buckets of crawfish in sweet butter, hashbrowns laden with 4 types of cheese, etc is a different matter.

i dunno her experience but when i was in arkansas, yeah there were a ton of obese people in the malls and such. in tennessee however there wasn't much more than our state. and around vandy everyone seemed relatively fit but thats expected cause its a college.

I hope after I get into medical school this year I don't spontaneously transform into a huge loser with no life that tries to compete for the "top" post (with unfunny symbolism courtesy of Google image search) in a 150+ page thread and say things like "class of 2014 pwns you!" or "too bad you 2015ers aren't as good as us 2014ers!!!!@" or some other such *****ic thing ad naseum.

Haha at lukkie's post. I legitimately laughed. I think the whole SDN thing is a little overplayed (a 'secret' SDN 2014 group? lol) but im on here more to learn than to make friends. just my 2 cents.

Secret to protect people's anonymity. This thread is like our social release from the neuroticism that is the rest of Pre-Allo. I've been trying to post in other threads and it's like driving me insane. And it's nice to know what people look like at least.

lol...to be fair, I have about 30-40 posts on this thread, and like 200 posts total. So, I wouldn't consider I really 'talk' to anyone on this thread. Besides, I welcome anyone that wanted to add me on facebook. I really could care less, i dont think that compromises my chances of getting into school, other than them knowing what I look like and calling me out at an interview for giving sh*tty advice on a SDN thread, hah.

I wouldn't want an SDN girlfriend either, she'd probably pass up sex to post on a "IS THIS A GOOD EC? PLZ HELP" thread.
