hey everyone! i was wondering where this thread went. although between midterms, the flu, and starting my mcat class, i havent had much of a life, let alone SDN time (crazy isnt it!?!)

so i took a diagnostic mcat from kaplan and got a 20 (with a 5 on the verbal)holy shi!!!!! i know im starting from rock bottom but verbal? im so upset 🙁 I did better on physical sciences where i guessed everything lol

thanks for listening to my rant..how is everyone else?
 
Well, I'm in, let's gooooooooo! It's this time of year that I sit back and consider myself a genius for having taken the MCAT in sept. G'luck to those of you who still have to take it!

The month afterthe MCAT is so relaxing. The fact that you don't have your scores yet sits there in the back of your mind, but man is it relaxing to not spend every free moment studying the same basic equations and annoying little tricks. :prof:
 
right now i cant even contemplate wut my life will be like post mcat. =) lets jsut say the month before...every day its just mcat mcat mcat.

and im glad atleast someone is aroused but cant say im there right now. lol =)
 
In on a Friday studying for MCAT. Had my dog boarded for the weekend, I felt like crying when I dropped him off cuz he was scared and I bet he thought I was takin him back to the shelter 🙁 But I need to concentrate and I can't leave him with the roommates because they'll be drunk and inable to take care of him (and my house is way too loud/nuts to study in).

That was not my experience at ALL. I wanted to vomit the entire time, it was the worst 5 weeks of my life.

Luckily it all worked out, but still... :d

Yeah I gots two tests tomorrow. Environmental Chemistry and Advanced Calculus. But next week is Spring Break so that's awesome!!

At least the MDAWG is done for you. It totally sucks that you don't get to wind down any. 🙁

My spring break was like 3 or 4 weeks ago now. 🙁 And it is freaking snowing here. It should not be snowing where I live right now... It is just uncalled for.

What threads do you think people create way too much that they could use a link to?

hey 2014ers, how goes it?

AerobixChica, did you take the free AAMC practice MCAT (or any other aamc ones?) I heard kaplans diags are hard on purpose so you'll panic and take their 2000$ course. I'm only taking AAMC tests.

Happy Bday kmsi, welcome to the 20's 🙂 can't believe i've already been here for almost 6 years, haha.

So i just was reading on OHSU 's website that in order to be considered academically competitive out-of-state you need a cumulative 3.65 . . . Is that just a suggestion or do they screen based on it? I think my dream of living in Portland is officially dead 🙁 after the snow today in Chicago i'm more desperate than ever to get out. Maybe I should suck it up and give the Texas thing a shot.
 
giving up facebook was ok..giving up meat was harder =)


Vegetarian is tough but I kinda like it. I'm only going to be without meat until Easter though.

I'm veg for over a year now . . . I love it.

I miss a lot of things (gyros, chicken wings) but there's some really good fake meat out there (morningstar breakfast sausage, Quorn chicken nuggets.) i think the fake-meat market is growing, I have faith in it. Quorn is amazing. And it's only a matter of time before Shmeat is a reality 🙂
 
hey do you guys know how to stop binge-eating? When I'm really stressed out like before exams, I just start eating and can't stop until I'm almost sick, mostly sweets like chocolate and candy. Urg! It's so annoying and it sucks I can't control myself.
Gaining weight like crazy.🙁
