So I'm now definitely going to see LSU play Washington and Miss St, I got the confirmation email today. I've spent like $220 on LSU football the last 2 days, because I just bought season tickets, too.



and here comes the LSU hate in ....3...2...1........

My girlfriend and I broke up. No, it's not because of my testicle incident. It's a sad tale and I do not wish to repeat it. I am a sad man at the moment, and sadly my only release is telling you guys. Ugh, I need more alcohol.

I should not be up right now since I have work in 7 hours, but my computer just got a crazy virus (which I promptly fixed). During this whole process, I realized that I hadn't backed up any of my secondary essays on my flash drive. 😱
So that was the first thing I did before virus killing. I think my computer is better now. I just can't use my wireless card to get on the internet right now, I have to use Windows. 😕
This is the second close call my computer has had this summer. :scared:

Jefferson doesn't have the counter, but they cut you off if you exceed 500 chars.

I actually PMed LizzyM with a bad semester question. She said not to include it. If you get asked about it, then it's ok to mention, but "don't point out the zit on your face on the first date" 🙂

and I don't know how you live with 11 other girls--I lived with 7 of my best friends and it definitely got catty to say the least.

2) on hopkins' secondary, they ask about overcoming adversity. could i write about the thing that caused my grades to dip (not the grade dip itself, of course)?

Anyways after freaking out about lors rec yesterday, i called a lot of schools today and no one even cares that its on an official letter head except boston, they just must be anal...no way im calling all 44 schools, but of the 7 i called only boston seems to care, most of the schools i called were like "wtf why are you asking us such a ******* questions, who cares if its on a letter head or not" Just in case someone else runs into this problem, its not a big deal it seems at most schools.

i am also well aware that under certain circumstances this could be considered a "zit." but my question was SINCE THEY ASKED EXPLICITLY was this one of the FEW times it's appropriate to bring it up? because when you look at my transcript, it's pretty clear that something went on junior year. i KNOW those grades aren't bad, but when put on a sheet of paper along with the rest of college, you can literally isolate the squiggly shapes on a small piece of the page from the straight shapes on the rest of the page if you're not focusing your eyes. at least this is what my adviser told me.

for the record, the reason i asked this question in this thread is because i expected NOT to get flamed here like i would on the rest of the board. thanks, guys. :lame:

look, i asked a really serious question. quite honestly, i don't think your answer WAS a joke (and if it was that was not so appropriate in the context). as typical as you think girls' behavior is, i think it's equally typical for guys to say something stupid and thoughtless and then cover it up with "hey, i was only joking."

with that, i'm deleting the content of my post and i'd appreciate it if those who quoted it would do the same. and i'm peacing out of this thread for a bit-- when 0C and Lukkie were around it may have been annoying as hell, but at least they weren't personally offending anyone here.

im sure they didnt mean anything by their comments. I totally agree with you that this thread has been sort of a safe haven from flamers throughout the rest of SDN

i feel that we should, as 2014ers, support each other more than the typical SDN user. I know that I asked a similar question last night about jefferson here rather than on the school specific thread because i didnt think my question would be taken seriously or anyone would care. this process is rough as is on us all, lets try to help each other out.

dw, plz come back. youre a great asset to this thread.

guys, comon! be a little nicer. shes got a point. as much as i love generalizations, i feel that the girls we deal w on here might deserve a tad more sensitivity, just because weve gotten to know them a little better.

bottom line: PLAY NICE EVERYBODY! 🙂
 
This is ridiculous...i wasnt being insensitive or a jerk and i even apologized right after if it was conveyed as such...i wont bother posting anymore i guess...seriously overblown situation:scared:
 

woah -- I didn't mean to be offensive either! I just thought I'd give my bkgnd in order to better justify my answer. Sorry if it came out wrong! I have chronic foot-in-mouth syndrome, so I'm sure that typing responses doesn't help matters. I typically don't intentionally flame unless someone makes a blatently offensive statement/hates on NC 🙂.

So, to seriously answer your serious question: No, don't mention it. They're looking for cancer, kidnappings, testicular-removal-by-coat-hanger, deaths of close family members, and D-minuses. If the stuff from Junior Year was your greatest adversity by all means write about it for JHU. And if you're set on explaining yourself to Sinai, that question would be the most appropriate place for that explanation. I'm just saying I wouldn't.

Again, the above answer is totally IMHO. Feel free to disagree/disregard.
