what's with all the german? y'all should speak spanish instead, it's way better 😀
 
'German' es un idioma sin valor a aprender. ¿Cuántos de sus pacientes hablará sólo 'German'? Ninguno. Eso es cuántos. Ellos probablemente hablarán español, especialmente si tu trabajas en California o Texas.

Sin embargo, 'Germany' tiene la cerveza mejor. Corona es terrible.

It's only a worthless language to learn if your goal is to use it as a doctor in the US.😉

si, "germany" tiene la cerveza mejor, pero me gusta corona con la lima de vez en cuando. me encanta magic hat! yo fui a south burlington, VT y fui en un viaje de la cerveceria. 😀

Magic Hat #9 es mi cerveza favorita. Quisiera beberla cada dia. Es una lastima que no puedo encontrarla en California, porque es ubicuo en Boston.

There was one in the 6/18 MCAT club!! Jaxasp. But he applying for Class of 2015 so that's why he doesn't post in here . . . I told him he could be Ksmi's successor next year

yeah, we all agree that german beer > mexican beer. we were talking about how good magic hat beer is (my favorite).

EDIT: oops, maybe you don't know spanish. basically i went to the magic hat brewery in VT and it was awesome... i bought this soap made from their #9 beer and it smells like a dream.

No no, I understood it. I guess the thoughts just didn't segue well since it went from "German beer is fantastic. Also, Magic Hat #9 is my favorite beer."

I think I might have my flatmate pick up a twelve-pack on his way back from work. Either that or Circus Boy. Pretty much everything Magic Hat puts out is amazing. I also need to get some of that soap. Magic Hat #9 > Dove.

If you ever come to the Bay Area, pick up some Gordon-Biersch Hefeweizen. I used to play hockey with the Gordon's kid, so it's pretty much all I drink for years, haha.

what! i never called you a baby, you misunderstand. i was just still feeling inadequate after being called old by redrower! i was merely implying to you that young whipper snappers can do better than this old maid. 🙁

although i will say i think i'm hotter at 26 than i was at 20 when i had the freshman 15. . . its gone now 😀

its too late mary, its just too late. my heart is broken but ksmi's nurturing has wiped the tears off my face. im a new man now, and i can almost grow facial hair too, so hah!
 
People keep telling me to apply to more top schools, and I'm just confused. It seems like a huge waste of time and money to apply to schools where I'm below their average stats (like Harvard, Cornell, and Duke), especially when my ECs aren't exactly thrilling. I just don't see why any of those schools would give me a shot when there are hundreds of more qualified applicants 🙁

Your stats are pretty good dude!

But I agree you shouldn't apply to places just cause.
 
Just had the first interview of 2009 and it was awesome! Hope that bodes well for everyone else! :xf: . I do have an update for the most bizarre interview questions thread though... 🙂
