So now I'm sitting on 3 secondaries, this week has piled it on me so far. Good thing I have tomorrow off - it's essay day. One of them's Loyola, too, so that's going to take forever.
I got some weird status update from VCU, too, but I think it means I'm not rejected, so I'll take that as good news for now.
Other than that, life=semi-crappy (I feel overwhelmed with life in general right now), how about you guys?
If no one answers, I'll assume you're doing fine because you're not posting here on a Friday night.

Tell you what, I'm looking for some glimpse of good news from this cycle soon. I'm not having a good week/summer and I think some med school semblance of good news is the only thing to pull me out of my funk right now.
I need beer....

Well, unfortunately, I have none of those right now. Boy, would I love some purple haze. 👍
I'm glad we have a great moral and emotional support network here.
Who knows, maybe down the line it might get to be a physical support network for some people. 😀

I feel the same. My mood's been going down for some time now. Good news from this application thing will be the only thing that will lift it up.

Yeah, I just feel that any sort of good news is so far away.
This process is such a double-edged sword - it can lift you up and then tear you down.

I don't know, this is simply speculation. All I know is it would involve post-interview alcohol.

If you like ambers, Abita is a great one. Turbodog is a darker, light chocolate-toned something (can't think of the word). The ones in the second row are probably a Restoration Pale Ale, a Jockamo IPA, and seasonals, I guess.

I'm sure you can find someone to buy it for you. I'm so glad I'll be 21 by the time this semester and interview season starts.
I'm taking Aug 17th-23rd off from work to celebrate my birthday for a whole week in my new apartment, I think. That way I can chillax for a while before school starts. I also think I'm going to tour the Abita brewery on my bday.
 
Alright, I've reached 450 posts and my eyes are starting to burn, so I will be going to sleep now. I'll probably be on a lot tomorrow while I do my secondaries. Good luck, brethren.

I could go for a Jockamo, then. Or a Restoration maybe.

same though it involves stuff for my final on monday🙁. Also this morning i woke up and some weird **** happened on my email i use for med school. Apparently i emailed myself some website to buy cheap tvs and other electronics, then tried to email the same message to like 6 different other people, all of whihc failed to be delivered. Obviously i didnt do that so someone did it for me, i changed my PW but now im super paranoid since i use that mail acct for my med apps...should i just trash the acct and then change my address on amcas? I dont want to do that though, it seems like a pain in the ass......😡

Elijah, I have a midterm on Wednesday, but I've been really slacking off. Summer class is totally different from regular semester classes. I just don't feel motivated enough to actually study. Plus, it's worse now that I know it won't "count" for med school stuff, since I turned my apps in and everything, so I can barely even force myself to study now. I just spend all my time on secondaries, and just say screw it with the class.:laugh:
You feel the same way?

yah for the most part. The class im taking is a huge joke though whihc is why i took it. Its almost a joke to even call it a class. As long as I get a B- or better for my last 4 classes i need to graduate i dont even care anymore haha. Im also getting sick of 2ndaries, ive filled out like 32 so far...only 10 left i havnt recevied, but these last few are killing me, espeically arizona since i cant copy and paste old essays🙁. In some ways its probably good i didnt get UCSD now, theres no way id have the motivation to write that beast.🙂

And I've had too much caffiene.

It won't have any effect, unless they ask for updates. And I heard most schools don't.

out end of story. As you said these grades dont matter for us! 🙂. The only schools that seem to want updates are creighton and iowa, both schools i highly doubt u want to attend anyways lol
