I'm totally okay with the traffic in NOLA, but Baton Rouge traffic sucks so bad. They're doing construction on all the major streets and interstate right now, plus the infrastructure is horrible and wasn't meant for the amount of people that now live there.

never know people get random emails at night sometimes. Like everything in this process its all random lol. I remember somepeople getting interviews from like case at 10 ESt or so...something late like that

That's the problem, I'm done with secondaries. I have 2 really late ones that probably won't be up until end of August, and 2 screened ones that I probably won't even get.
So the process is only waiting for me right now. Waiting is one of my least favorite things in the world... Ever. 😡

Same here, except I'm only waiting on 3, and if I remember correctly only 1 of them is screened.

i have to move into my new place/keep volunteering/do overnight ER/start teaching postbac kids in sept so you would think i have enough on my mind, but its always nice to get some good news

maybe i go watch some fresh prince

Now that's what I should be doing more of.
I was bored one day and at Barnes and Noble and I read one of those "how to get into med school" books and totally dissected the interview portion and feel a little better. But I need to work on some questions, things I'm currently doing, etc.

Nah, I agree, it would be a lot of reading, but Virology would be a lot of studying.

The most reading I've ever had to do for a class was for Classical Greek Mythology. No class I've ever seen even touches that amount of reading. It was like 6K pages. It was insanity, and I only took it because I needed an English credit and it sounded cool. Huuuuuge mistake.

I would, but it seems like everyone that posts them just ends up randomizing them anyway. So, I might end up posting one after I get my MCAT results back next week and know for sure which schools I'm adding.

Nice! I'm on some research being presented there this year as well. I'm not sure if I'm going to go for it though, since I'm not actually the one who is going to be presenting it. If I go, I might see you there!

That is jacked up. I would be flying somewhere for free after all that nonsense.

Did you catch the part where Continental tried to pawn off responsibility on the airport that allowed them to land and occupy their tarmac? What a bunch of asshats. Not to mention the fact that the only reason they allowed passengers off of the plane was to prevent the riot that would have ensued if the flight attendants were allowed to get off the plane, but no one else was.

I haven't flown Continental for years. The reason I stopped flying them was because they sucked. I guess nothing has changed...

I tried Walgreens. They bent my pic and the copies were grainy to say the least. The kodak machine was much better.

On an unrelated note, I thought I knew what lizziem meant by "smell patients". Boy was I wrong. A guy came in with swolln legs the size of my torso and his feet were gangrenous. Holy God...it was terrible.

Oh damn. That sounds bad. Did he lose both legs? I will never understand how people can put those visits off for so long.

I will put pain, illness, etc. off for a while, but as soon as I realize that my body isn't fighting it on it's own, I'm at the doctors office.

yea i used one today from cvs. it comes out same as the quality of your image file. i got 18 wallet sized for like $7. i dont know why i got 18, i had 2 diff pics 2 x 9 wallet sized i guess. < $.50 a pic

I think so. They were also pretty horrible with delays, layovers, etc.

I don't think it was one thing, but rather a compilation of issues that turned into me flying anything but Continental.

Although I had an engine go out on me over the Atlantic when I was flying United... That was quite an experience.
