all this guy has to do is manage the football and hand it off to All Day. but watch, he's gonna cost them the season.

i'm mostly just tired of ESPN's lack of professionalism/impartiality because they are the only real sports media outlet

won't cover big ben's rape case cuz its civil? give me a ****ing break or at least be consistent

i also do not care for all the Duke basketball love on tv. team sucks to watch (unless they are losing).

i dont think so. if schaub stays healthy i really think he could have a good year, especially with andre there. Farve is a risk...i mean last year he was pretty damn good then his body dies midseason...could happen agian. Not to mention minnesota is a run 1st team with AP. I dont think farve will be getting the yards and TDs. Personally id stick with schaub and pray he doesnt get injured...lol. Im weary to place any faith in what a 40 yr old man can do, hall of famer or not.

Y'all have been slacking with the posting recently. I'm not complaining though. Gives me less to catch up on when I'm done for the day. I think everyone's getting a bit annoyed because it seems that everyone else is getting interviews that they want. Thus, people are avoiding SDN more. Any truth to this assumption?

ive been avoiding it a bit for that reason, that and school is killling me now 🙁...what free time i do have at home, id rather spend on madden then sdn 😛

Dude, so my options are apply to 5 schools and buy an Xbox 360 with Madden or apply to 6 schools and no Xbox or madden...

Decisions decisions...

Try f***ing terrified. I was supposed to have this morning off from practice and I was gonna finish up my interview prep then... No such luck. So I still have some stuff to go over and I have like 2 days until my interview. 👎

That does make sense, especially for people with 0 invites thus far it's really hard to watch other people get them who seem equally qualified as you.

I did, but I got the red rings of death and Microsoft decided that my particular rings weren't covered under warranty... Bastards!

How long did you have your 360? My bro killed our 360 within 6 months of getting it (I know right!?! 😡 ) Since we'd bought ours from Best Buy, I was able to bring it back and just pick up a whole new system (w/ 2 included games)... but I'm not sure how long that service would have lasted. 1 year?

My Xbox looks like it went through the shredder. I think they won't cover it, because I warrantied the unit to Target about 9 months ago, so that probably voided the official manufacturers warranty. But I think I'm out of Targets coverage too.

Their coverage usually covers the red rings of death, but it's also possible my Xbox was damaged during shipping, because it looks like it was shredded. I think it was done at microsoft though, which adds insult to injury and further pisses me off.

I am so pissed I would buy a PS3, but I like too many of the games for the Xbox to convert now...

Yeah, Xbox makes a crappy system where maintenance and defects are concerned. It is more likely that your brother purchased the replacement plan through Best Buy, which isn't a bad way to go on Xbox system.

truth indeed. well, i've been slacking for a couple of reasons: (1) i can't maintain my current (very satisfying) state of relaxed-ness about this process if i keep reading about everyone else's interview invites, and (2) i've been busy rocking out... my life is amazing now that i've moved back to my 'hood! been having way too much fun to sit at the computer outside of work hours 😀

Family in town + last week of summer = only checking SDN at night.

how are you guys actually preparing for interviews? I have one coming up in a couple weeks, and I'm worried that I'm under-prepared :scared: Are there like a list of questions that are routinely asked, or should I just be very familiar with my activities?

check out the interview area of SDN for info about particular schools -- that'll tell you how some prepped for interviews. the web also has some good advice/sample Qs:

Amazon/B&N has a bunch of books too.

  • If you were a car what, kind of car would you be and why?
  • Do you think physicians should lie to patients?
  • If the Earth colonized the moon and you were chosen to direct the first lunar hospital, what would be your three most important priorities for that hospital?
  • What section of the newspaper do you read first?
  • What has been the hardest question that you have been asked at other school interviews so far?
  • Who should definitely not be cloned?
  • If my grandmother walked into your practice and told you that she was ill because she had had a hex placed on her, what would you tell her and how?
  • Describe a situation in which you felt like a fish out of water.
  • So you like helping others...why not be a policeman?
  • How do you really know that after medical school in 4 years, you'll still want to be a doctor, especially when so many current physicians are unhappy?

Yeah, We did get a Best Buy plan, but I believe that since it was within the 1 year manufacturer's warranty, they just swap us for a new Xbox rather than try to fix our RRoD one. 👍

i was laughing at the fact that they told everyone to go to SDN for help. They cite SDN on several pages on the site. love it 🙂

these interview questions kinda freak me out, honestly :scared:

Looks like this might be the week that everything is starting to roll!

Sounds like most of the schools I've applied to are starting to send invites. I feel bad talking about them though when there are other who don't have any yet.. 🙁

On a why being in school while interviewing sucks note, I just found out I have a Biochem exam the Monday after my 1st interview.

Morning everybody, looks like 2014's hearing some good news today.
Busy day for me, need to get started. Also need to make sure my roommate that shares a connected shower with me actually unlocks the door on my side when he's done... 😡
