everybody? even me? I hope so :xf: even anything this week would be fine with me. i just want ONE interview invite to calm my nerves before I turn into Tweak from Southpark. i'm already pretty close . . . i can relate to him a lot.

First, no more caffiene for you. Second, I have no good news for today, unless you count the "we finally have started looking at your app." to be good news.
 
Just got an email from UVA saying "oh here's something we just decided to start including in our interview day folders but you didn't get it since you were the first day thus a guinea pig for this season". :laugh: I like that school.
That means two schools have contacted me today, when I haven't heard from any other ones for 23 days.

I need to get to 999 posts tonight to celebrate the date.

who said anything about caffeine? i was talking about the underwear gnomes. (just kidding. i'm addicted to caffeine.)

anyway, now that Tulane is rejecting lots of people i'm going to reach a bit and say that the fact that I got no email today is better news than a Tulane rejection. i know it will probably be a while before i hear from most schools but now that I know my state school is giving out invites i'm on pins and needles . . . i know this process is random but i can't help feeling (fairly or not) that whether i am successful in applying there will be a barometer of my chances of success at other schools . . .

i'm also kicking myself for not applying earlier, but i have to keep reminding myself that in order to apply earlier i would have had to take the MCAT earlier and I almost certainly would not have done as well. so i guess i just have to stay patient and sane. i'm partly doing this by only coming on SDN for a couple hours every two or three days. and not 24/7 😀

i feel bad for you, dude. i kind of scheduled my classes this semester so that i could miss a lot, but it's still pretty intense for me too.

Seems like a lot of us are in the same boat. I'm lucky enough to only be missing 6 classes for my 5 interviews so far. 1 for each of the first 3, 3 for LSU, and none for the last one b/c of fall break.
I'm so glad I arranged my schedule to only have one class on M and F and lucky that all my interviews (except the one I just scheduled) are on M and F.

in some ways im glad im in quarter systems. Fall doesnt start till sept29th so my 1st 2 interviews dont even mess with class. My classes are all MWF though, hoping to schedule everything on tues or thurs

Yah, Jimmer's kinda right. I don't have class on Friday's so most of my interviews are on that day. I have two others that are on Monday, but one of the Mondays is a holiday for my school.

I actually have no interviews at all yet 🙁 No holds, no rejections, no anything! I'm starting to get anxious because my apps aren't moving at all :scared:

You're totally right, all you need really is one! I've been saying that for two months now to anyone I talk to "I just need one!!"

You got an interview at Einstein? That is way way awesome! (I only received their secondary today! ack!) When's your interview? Good luck times a million!!! 🙂

Thanks guys. I'm getting to the point where I feel like I should start thinking about declining interviews, but I'm afraid I'll miss out on visiting a school that may be the perfect fit.

With 10 interviews you are basically a guaranteer lock, me perosnally id cut some down but not until i got my 1st acceptance because you just never know....

not me! just a pre-interview hold from SUNY upstate yuck. im glad that some of you are getting in-state love because I am not!!
