Blue, its on the UES. Its still 10-20 blocks away from Spanish Harlem. Harlem has a bad connotation but if you check the apartment prices there, its pretty ridic. Harlem is definitely no where near as bad as it used to be.

Mount Sinai is almost ATTACHED to central park. i think it is the best located school for med school but thats just me

at my duke student interview, i got asked what fictional character i want to meet the most. the first thing i thought of and blurted out was "Tony Montana, main character of scarface"

luckily she didnt see the movie so i dont think she understood how weird that answer was

that's because you were getting an official, usable copy of a birth certificate.
however, there is no way to obtain a usable copy of a passport, nor should you be handing them away to adcoms.
 
Congrats to all you who got interviews lately, and good luck to all you who have had interviews this week!

I took a little break from this board while I focused more on my last secondaries... still haven't finished mine from Rosalind Franklin....

Also, procrastinating studying right now... woohoo! I have a big midterm in my Southern Politics class... just so happens that a book we're reading for that class talks about one of my relatives.... weird....

I was given the choice of 11/6 and 11/20. word on the street (aka the MCW thread) is that the 6th has filled up. don't know about the 20th.

I thought it went well, but maybe I'm not a very good judge?😛 It seems like they really like you to show you want to go there so I'll definitely write a letter of interest and hope the decision changes to an acceptance at the next adcom meeting!

Those were the ones I was given as well, but I don't want/can't do either of them. I wonder if they will schedule me for some later ones.

Sorry to hear that. Just remember they accept like 1/2 of interviewees eventually, and they said they actively review the WL.

UES, technically. just south of east harlem.

People are getting acceptances to MD schools...granted it's only EDP, but still, crazy nonetheless.

Anyone else remember how ksmi was the first person to submit her AMCAS on SDN? I remember thinking I was late like 3 days later. How young and naive. 🙄

It's been a fun ride guys...lets keep it going.

There's already 4 other UT system med schools and they're opening another one in the valley in a few years. Between UTHSCSA, Texas A&M in both Temple and Round Rock, and UT Southwestern, they have the I-35 corridor pretty well-covered already.

LSU's won 3 bowl games, including a BCS Championship and Sugar Bowl, since Vince Young. And a baseball national championship.

Beat that.

One thing I will give you is that UT has the longest streak of 10 win seasons going right now. Pretty impressive.
