This is the first time in my 22 years I've ever seen it snow in Texas. 🙂 Apparently it's snowed in Houston, and we've seen a few flurries in San Antonio that wasn't substantial, but this is definitely more legit than anything I've seen.
 
hahaha this is actually the first week in a while that we've been below average temps and our temps before this week have been around the 40s. Today it's a high of 30ish

My friend teaches down there and she said school was cancelled :/ Is it really that bad?!? Shoot, it feels like Spring up here in Jersey. I want snow!

Nah it's not that bad, it's just it snows so infrequently here (maybe once every few years) that we don't have any equipment to de-ice the roads or tires that can deal with that kind of slippery-ness. It's cheaper to just shut the city down for a day or two every few years than maintain all this equipment that we hardly ever use.

Cool. I think people are saying it will snow here tonight, but I'm very happy with our good amount of snow last year. Once every 10 or so years is about the normal here. It's even worse where I grew up, because it's further south.

So you've lived in LA your whole life? Same for me, except in GA. Pretty much same snow situation too. The only snow that actually stuck: 1993, 2009.

So I didn't go to work for the 2nd time in 3 days because I was too warm and cozy in my bed and it was gross outside. 😎

Well, preferably, I want to get out of GA for medical school because I will most likely end up back in GA afterward. However, I wouldn't mind staying in GA for medical school.
