Just started pouring!! And I'm studying Endo... must get 90 on test... I haven't seen any of my roommates for like over 24 hours... my apt is eerie.

Close but nope. I'll tell you that my car insurance rates have not gone down yet.

Uggghhh, I just got back from a weekend with an old friend from High School. It was cool hanging out with him and a couple of our other friends, but, man, I felt like I was repeating myself over and over. His parents, and his grandparents, and all their friends all seemed like they talked to me separately, and I always got the question "so what's your life plan now?" Anyway, I just always feel like I'm jinxing myself when I mention how I'm planning on med school for the fall of 2010.

On a happier note, I just bought my first set of scrubs tonight! I'm soon headed to go start IVs and make patient assesments for 12 hours in the ER. Man, my sleep schedule is going to be effed.😴

How are you guys coming on your Personal Statements?

Honestly, I never liked my personal statement, not at the beginning of my revisions and not at the end 🙁 At some point though, just go with what you've got--at one interview I was actually complemented about my personal statement, so I guess sometimes we're our own hardest critic 🙂

Yeah I definitely fell asleep while studying earlier. I took a power nap, and I'm alright for now. We'll see how long that lasts.
 
I wrote 3 drafts so far. I think it's okay. We'll see.
 
Hey guys. I searched through the thread, but didn't find exactly what I'm looking for - AMCAS opens up May 5th for us to start putting in stuff, right? But when exactly is the first day for submission?

Also, any comments on my school list (in my MDApps)? I'm trying to cut it down to 10-12.

:hello: I hope you didn't read the whole thread to try to find that. We talk about stupid stuff all the time here. 😀

Nice app, btw. Your school list looks good to me, but I'm having issues with mine as well. I just can't definitely decide on anything. But we are planning to apply to a lot of the same place. 👍

I see we have another ksmi-caliber applicant here. Look at her mdapplicants, it should give you a good idea.

looking at all other applicants i see on here makes me feel like crap about my app
my gpa is high, but not a 4.0
and my MCAT is definitely not that great (better than blue though....hehe.. 1,1,1 😛)
oh well
i guess i wont matter after i'm in

Haha, hey hey hey, easy on the Steelers hate, that franchise is the closest thing I have to religion. I'd also have to each the 👍 to SEC football, although my Gamecocks are pretty much little kids compared to Florida and Georgia in our division.

Don't worry, I didn't read through the 78 (!!) pages you guys have created here, haha. I just did a thread search for AMCAS. But good to know it's June 1st, everything seems to have been pushed up slightly since last year...

How annoying is it that Duke seems to be one of the few schools to not use AMCAS's LOR system?
